They just nerfed slide impulse speed, which was a nerf on consecutive movements immediately after sliding, you have to regain your player characters momentum in order to be able to slide at full speed again, the distance in which you need to travel to get back up to full sprint speed is about 1.5m

There was one new battle pass, one new multiplayer map, and one new mode. That’s basically it.
The new map is honestly very disappointing. It’s extremely small, you can’t really establish yourself or play tactically. You can have 2 helicopters, 3 tanks, and 3 vehicles on it at the same time, and you can literally run across the entire map on foot in no time.

I really don’t understand the design decision here. For a Battlefield game, this feels completely off. Because of this, I’ll probably skip this season. I’m playing through EA Play Pro and I’m considering canceling my subscription.

Maybe Season 3 will bring something better, hopefully. But for now, this is easily the weakest Battlefield season I’ve experienced. I’m going back to Arc Raiders for a while. The hype was there… but where is the actual content?

The gas mechanics are only available in the time-limited mode. The map is also available as is on other modes. I don't believe the map is "shrunk", but as with all modes there might be different sections active depending on what you play.

Penguin thinks the new Contaminated map = cool! 😎 Lots of nice flanking routes and so forth possible. And it's definitely one of the bigger BF6 maps. Penguin will need lots more rounds in the map to give a full/informed opinion. (Bit early to judge)

• VCR-2 is what would happen if KORD and TR-7 had baby - rof as KORD, 25 damage (5 more than KORD), recoil and bloom almost as bad as TR-7
• M121 A2 is new best LMG - basically M240LK on steroids - same bloom, less recoil, more rof, same damage

When will we get matches with fewer vehicles OR more players? I'm fed up with playing World of Tanks in the large-scale modes.

And I have a screenshot showing 4 planes, 2 attack helicopters, 1 transport helicopter, 4 heavy tanks, 4 light tanks, and 2 anti-aircraft guns.
If we assume all the gunner/pilot positions are taken, that makes
26 players in vehicles!
Add to that the snipers at the back of the map.
And as a result, nothing happens during the match.

Many players end up avoiding large-scale modes OR maps with too many vehicles, simply because it's not fun.

There's no satisfaction in destroying a tank; anyway, another one appears in two seconds.
No one focuses on the objectives.
And then they add a new vehicle. :/

If frame gen added input lag, Reflex wouldn’t exist and competitive players wouldn’t use it.
The input pipeline stays the same, only the displayed frame count changes.
If I can’t feel it and my performance doesn’t drop, then it’s not affecting me.

not a single competitive player uses frame gen, dude give it up there has been so much testing regarding the frame gen technology it adds input delay, period. 20-40 ms in a quick ttk game is the difference between getting a kill and getting killed sometimes

same as having 20 ms ping vs 60 ms ping, it matters

every ms added means more chance of losing a fight

Competitive players don’t use frame gen because they already run the game at 200-400+ native FPS. They don’t need FG, not because FG adds input lag.
Input latency is tied to the base rendered FPS, and FG doesn’t change that pipeline.
Reflex keeps the input -> render path identical whether FG is on or off.

They don’t use it because it adds latency.
They’re player at lower graphical settings to hit higher fps for lower latency… so adding latency on back on top is a no go.

If it had zero latency, they would use it… because to them 1000fps is better than 500fps.
Because it has lower rendering latency

its more than that there are more latency pipelines than just that number thats just a baseline, plus you should be able to get far lower than 18 anyway without FG if you are configured properly

New map is confusing me every time I look at the map because of misalignment, and new weapons/gadgets behind battlepass, so not unlucked at all.

So, I still just play as if it were season 1 anyways... gonna need more feeling about the movement changes tho

Give up they’re probably playing on a potato with a controller or keyboard and mouse so poor quality they already add 50-80ms delay… probably playing via Bluetooth and running on WiFi and not Ethernet too 🤦🏻‍♂️😅
