Yes open weapons is a problem most won’t admit. But there’s other ways to turn other weapons into laser beams without heavy barrel. I have multiple guns from every class that are wayyy too accurate for a bf title. If this was cod it’d be normal but laser accurate gunplay does not belong in bf. The reduced bloom, downgraded suppression and unweighted movement animations make this game sweatier than it’s supposed to be. Pc players love saying the older titles were fast as well but it’s just not true on console

Their bloom stats are great. SGX, MP5, UMG are all lazer beams at ranges far beyond what ARs can reliably hit with the state of bloom. Even if they have damage drop off it doesn’t matter if you hit 8 shots for 14 damage if ARs can only hit 3 for 24. The SMG wins. That’s been my experience so far leveling the 3 guns, I’m on the UMG rn and shooting at range is easily the easiest part for that gun.

in order to have a universal skin work, the base texture has to be compatible with the model layout for every single weapon in a game, what that means is you either A. make all the guns deviate from a base core design, which makes guns lose their personality in terms of uniqueness, since they all need to be similar to be able to have that skin, or B. you clone the skin across every single weapon in the game, i.e. 95 copies of the same thing, which is expensive on resources, a blocker for content development on new weapons and not something you can do without scrapping other things

take for example the fact that weapon attachments are placed on a weapon differently, that is an aspect you would need to severely reduce, etc

The slide in 5 was so much better than what we have now. You could change directions and do quick peaks with it. You would show like a sliver of your arm with the quick peak lmao.

I would go off with the AC9, I played burley McKay and got him T1 until they nerfed him and then I found the absolute gold mine that was Angel and then I purely played him for the rest of my time on the game, flying around the map at 100mph slide hopping with the AC9.

there is your problem, a FEW times. i despise the map with a passion. it was miserable

the aa gun could shoot your little bird / troop heli in your base. all infrantry was at 2 points on the map. its linear design didnt allow for much flanking except on the left / right side of the map in a forest. that about 25% of the tickets in would be completely mowed flat with little no cover.....

Pretty much all the ARs and carbines have major bloom rn. Past 50 you should pretty much exclusively tap fire with the exception of maybe the M4 (with all available attachments) and maybe the scar.

Don’t fall for the bait. It’s in a good spot rn and the only metric people can really use rn is steam metrics anyways which only shows players on steam.

But post launch for games at BF scale you’re kinda expecting 90% of the players to leave, regardless of “how well” you make the game. It’s an industry standard.

But active player numbers have started to normalize (on steam) at around 60k avg at peak hours during the week and like just under 100k avg at peak hours during the weekend.

All things considered, if the player counts follow the trend on other launchers/ consoles, the game is doing rather well for itself at the moment.
