It's to do with the Anti Cheat, there's not much I can do until it's fixed.

The community has been trying to narrow it down and find fixes since the latest update.

Devs have been made aware on Twitter, etc but aren't back for another 11 days.

In that case friend, Penguin don't have any other suggestions than trying out different GPU drivers and tweaking settings. (For some hardware combinations it seems that older GPU drivers seems to be more stable for BF6, this is the case for Penguins RTX 4090 and i9 14900k setup)

Penguin been helping many around here with troubleshooting, and only one case out of all cases of stuttering was solved by BIOS update, turned out EAAnticheat was the culprit. Not completely sure what is exactly doing it as this been solution only once. (not enough test data to establish conclusion)

EAAnticheat seems to be pretty sensitive in regards to BIOS versions in many PC's. The underlying reason is still unclear to Penguin.

An anti cheat never stops cheats, it lowers the amount of people who use them.

As a personal reference, I have not seen an obvious cheater in my games and I play it nearly every day. This is of course not saying much, but it is one point of reference.

I've played for around 450 hours and haven't come across a single cheat yet.

Oh it's playable personally, it doesn't happen enough to really be "game breaking" but it's enough to annoy you when it gets you killed once a game or so.

Penguin is sad to know cheaters is a fact in this world. But what's good with BF6 multiplayer is that BF6 is pretty expensive. Free to play games tend to be more affected by it, due to the lower financial impact Free to play games would have by doing so. That in itself is a big filter

I agree in honesty. In all games people can assume cheating when they just come up against really good players or weird net code stuff or whatever. But if you suspect someone and go and hide in a very obscure place and they go out of their way to come to you that's a red flag for me.

Personally with Support, I'll focus the main infantry objectives typically in the middle of the map.

The game does reward tap firing due to the bloom, a big thing is definitely learning the maps. Routes, head glitches, flanks. That'll all come with just playing - the TR7 and SG are solid weapon picks.

The sgx is the more flexible gun and very simple to use in cqc. The mp5 has next to no recoil or spread and can be full autoed at longer ranges if you struggle with spread and recoil control in this game. With synthetic you can also add a skill ceiling to using the mp5

the sor-300C basically packages the sg553's damage profile with easier to use recoil and spread. If someone struggles with the sg5553 the SOR-300c is not a bad recc imo. I just wish the SOR-300C had a more unique damage range and didn't outright copy the SG553's fall off which is quite severe

You can tell when someone is hacking based on extremely unusual behavior in gunfights with multiple players.

I've seen a grand total of 1 hacker across my 400-500+ hours of playtime and he literally 360 rotated to kill 3 people around him with the scw-10 while full autoing.

This person was also banned mid game

It's more common in redsec but there are less than 2% of lobbies with hackers in them across all modes according to the developers.

This data value is likely skewed by redsec and not representative of the normal MP.

-4 was the worst launch performance and bug wise.

-6 is the best launch performance and bug wise but it still needs fixes (which has been the case of all battlefields since bad company 2 on frostbite engine)

The main things bf4 did better were having more vehicle options and naval options. Bf6 doesn’t have that but offers better infantry gameplay and overall weapon balance imo even if it still needs a lot of tweaks more of bf6’s weapon sandbox is viable than 4’s.

4 was in many ways was quantity over quality imo and needed dlc and significant updates to buffer its issues

Tldr: it’s currently in the launch phase of all battlefields since frostbite engine’s introduction and will undergo notable changes and content additions that improve it (hopefully)

Finally done the Battle Pass, and want to give some feedback as someone who never did one of these in the past in any game other than the 2042 one to get the BF6 unlocks. Between the 2 I have to say the 2042 one was superior, which is weird because after 50 or whatever hours it required me to play and finish that pass I came to despise the game outside of breakthrough Iwo Jima, which despite being fun was still ruined by the character design choice and was played out for my by the end due to like 60 matches in a row lol. The rewards were better in my opinion, likely since it was the send off pass meant to get those of us waiting for 6 to play a game that people like myself skipped. I especially enjoyed the skins for our soldiers, with the engineer/support ones being standouts that I see no reason to stop wearing in BF6.

But here I am, more or less liking BF6 despite some issues I have with it and this pass was just not worth the price of entry. I would never pay for one of these again using cash, so unless my 1100 earned coins get me into Pro season 2 this will be my last. The rewards were mainly unending skins and xp boosts, a lot of skins I would never use because of weird color/pattern combos, and a bunch of guns that were ok but again suffered from being far too flashy or weirdly decorated. Since launch there must have been 30 skins it feels like between the various pass tiers/addons and the store and maybe 6 or 8 actually look cool while a lot feel like uniforms we would see the nameless bad guy goons wear, which is especially true of those aimed at PAX. I get it, they are the bad guys, point made.

So yeah, this is just my point of view and I doubt any changes will be made to plans for the next couple of seasons at least, but I still felt like sharing them. I will continue playing since I am having fun, I just hope that as far as unlocks go some more effort is made to include items and skins that match the quality of what I saw in the purchasable ones like the Ranger or the California ones in jeans and flannel, that stuff looked great, I just refuse to buy the good skins when you can't seem to add even one of that caliber to the battle pass that I did in fact pay for meaning it should include paid level quality rewards.

What I’m saying is K/D isn’t really indicative of strong/weak player my K/D is high even as infantry but not because I’m some amazing player but because I spend a lot of time as a medic, a lot of supports are like this

Nailed it on the head. They're sniper-lite. Play them similarly and rack up kills on people who can't see you nor reach you.

Having no glint is an extra freebie on top of that.

It's undeniably good for balance to keep recons from perpetually respawning and spotting the entire enemy team, but on the other hand I'm of the opinion that it fails to give assault a proper identity.
