Like let's look for a second at just the grips. A difference of 2 or 3 control / precision really just doesnt make a difference almost at all when the gun has those stats over 50 (looking at the absolute beamers of AK 205 and kts)

For raw recoil control, the first muzzle brake you get is already good enough for 99% of cases.

So really, the majority of your "points" you can chose is relegated to default weapon parts that for some reason cost 10 or 5. While you choose exclusively on "do i want this 45 point cost magazine, or do I want a scope that doesnt have a super massive ugly red dot."

I get what they're tryna do, but realistically the impact is so negligible that I question the actual point of it.

You'd have a better system just limiting how many attachments you can use instead.

My argument against this is we can already do similar but theres no reason.

Most weapons fall into

• good at range
• good at close quarters
• good at hipfire.

A hipfire weapon will never be good at range for example, even if you max the attachments on it.

If I use a kts, my 100 round mag, extended barrel, and muzzle brake will out perform most weapons over 80 meters effortlessly because its a range monster.

That being said, if I put a laser site on it, it wouldn't matter because its actually garbage in close quarters where fire rate is significantly more important.

Yea damage fall off is almost non existent for smgs for some weird reason. I would change the system by making smg and carbines have damage fall off starting at 20 meters, maxing out around 50 to 70.

Assault rifles, make their fall off start around 30 to 40, and max out around 100.

The assault rifles just dont feel like they have impact.

And dont get me wrong, some are fun to shoot, but the dps in this game is entirely reliant on strictly firerate

It took me far to long to realize that hitting Q or E changed my class. It was a real boneheaded moment when I found out, because it's literally right on the deploy screen that those are the keys for it. The problem resulted from all the games that I've played where E is the deployment button. So I'd hit E a whole bunch, then remember that it's the wrong button, and spawn in with the wrong weapon and get all pissed off because I didn't understand what just happened.

I think what’s happening is a disconnect between what you see client side and what the server sees for low muzzle velocity weapons, causing those weird issues.

At least that explains why I’ve mostly only ever seen it with the shotguns and SMGs, and pistols too I guess.
