the m240L base has the fastest time to kill of all the lmgs for the first 20 meters and its range fall off profiles are extremely strong.

First 20 meters its a 3 shot. Next 75 meters its a 4 shot and beyond that it's a 5 shot. It kills in 200 milli seconds.

Once you get the rail cover, heavy extended barrel, and 75 round magazine the gun is a demon

lmgs are designed for setting up on the correct angles/positions and mowing things down.

If you get caught with your pants down why would you want to engage on their terms with ads when it's best to just hip fire since ads leads to a longer sprint to fire time, meaning you spend more time not shooting the gun.

Like if you hit the fire button that is way faster than hitting the ads+fire button (which takes even longer to have the fire go off since sprint to ADS goes first then sprint to fire)

like the way sprint to fire and sprint to ads works is that if you opt to ads right out of sprint you are effectively increasing your sprint to fire time.

this doesn't matter for guns designed around that like smgs or fast ads ars but for lmgs yeah best of luck

3 skills you should try to work on are positioning, movement, and aim/tracking. Moreso the first two than anything else, aim will get better over time as you play. It would be taxing to try to breakdown each of those aspects into one message, but maybe that can give you an idea on how to improve.

The issue is "those people" ruined portal for everybody and the people who bought battlefield under the impression they were going to get to create and host a portal server of their own design literally cant because there are no servers available due to the farms. I will concede that ea actually marketed the game as having full xp and progression with bots in a created portal experience. The reality is that is no longer the case because of the farm takeover. There is no easy way to fix this issue. Ea has taken the easiest route and tried to nerf the crap out of bot progression which hasnt even worked in loosening up the portal for everyone to use properly. Whole thing is a disaster and a lot of people are very bitter about the portal being ruined by bot farming. The bot defenders need to acknowledge that everyone is getting the shaft in its current state

Yes, kills do make a difference but it's not as big a difference as you're making it out to be. Throwing grenades at an enemy can ward off an enemy as much as kill them or make them rethink their strategy. Making it all about kills I think belittles team play efforts.

You're confusing physics a lot here. Decible is a measure of sound at a set distance. The turbine engine operates at a higher frequency than a diesel engine. Higher frequencies don't travel as well, making them quieter the further you get. Diesel engines operate at a lower frequency, making it easier to hear them from further away.

The Abrams is nicknamed Whispering Death for a reason. There are hundreds of stories of people not knowing an Abrams was on them until it was literally next to them.

Yeah, the Abrams was literally designed to sneak up on people. The sound from diesel engines TRAVELS, the sound from the Abrams turbine engine not so much. So while it is technivally 'louder' the sound doesn't travel as far allowing them to get nice and close while remaining undetected audibly.

As someone who has worked around Abrams. It uses a gas-turbine engine (the AGT 1500) rather than a big diesel engine, and this turbine has a narrower, higher-pitch whine instead of a loud piston rumble. Yes it can be relatively quiet "for a 60 ton heavy tank" but it still will make noises.

I have been resorting to using nothing but high ROF weapons (M4A1, KORD, P90) because everything else with a lower ROF is useless. The only way to remedy the bad hit detection is to throw a wall of lead at the enemy and hope it actually works

APFSDS-2 is effective up to 2,400m roughly
MPAT is effective agains thelicopters up to about 1,800, medium armor at about 1,800, and heavy armor at about 1,600
Canister is effective up to 600m, can stretch to 900m on flat terrain
HEAT is effective at roughl the same distance as the MPAT

The cannon can shoot rounds up to about 4km, but they are highly ineffective against targets beyond about 2,400m

I suggest taking the range finder off. Practice with it off. You'll find yourself sniping a lot better and faster without it. I'm a lot better than I used to ever be after set myself to practice.

You don't need hearing protection next to it. You need hearing protection inside of it. If the main gun is fired, you'll need hearing protection, though. I said it was "pretty quiet." This is still true when you consider it can literally sneak up on infantry formations

Has anyone here tried the mini scout and if so what map do you think it works best on? I saw some guy drop 60+ with iron liberation peak like he was just sending out so many shots so quick and I was thinking that maybe switching from the M2010 to the mini scout will be better because the rpm and you can chamber in without needing the attachment
