I'm going to actually attempt to get a game going this time. Gonna be a lot of sitting in a mostly empty server at the start, but what can you do.

I have a bit of a different Conquest experience up on Portal - it's 32 players rather than 64, for one, so a lot less hectic and more tactical as a result, 90% player speed with sliding disabled and BF4 hardcore rules (I had to leave the crosshair on because disabling it removes it from the transport which is no bueno). Plus no hammer or the shield to nerf some exploits and unfair gameplay.

Also, sniper rifles turned off so people are further incentivised to play the objective.

Some of us no longer have the reactions to get up close and personal and adopting the quick scoping style of play. I choose to play a support/overwatch style, marking stuff and trying to cover teams as they take objectives and then moving up when able. Well most of the time you don't need as AA missiles missiles miss their locked target 80% of the time (personal and IFV), just play with mountains and distance so you can avoid them 99% of the time

They are grinding because the good stuff are locked behind challenges tbh

For example the beacon is very helpful to your teammates but you need to grind to unlock it

well, they are grouped together in a way that makes sense. You also dont have to do any of them, they mostly just unlock new skins and some exp boosters (except the class challenges)

if talking about the incendiary ones there's an easy workaround with a friendly jeep and an anti-tank mine that can solve that challenge in couple shots

yep, I did both the incendiary challenges with mines and jeeps at my own base. It's a fair strat considering the fact that the challenge doesnt consider the fire dot damage to be "DAMAGE" and only counts the 14 damage shot if you directly hit an enemy. Cba to shoot that thing that many times

rhookr on youtube has nice guides for doing all the class challenges as easily as possible if you dont mind using the bot lobby. Most of the challenge tracking is bugged so imo it's just fair to use bots

Tell us a little about your playstyle, my friends also sometimes start about it being boring, and i tell them to switch things up, go fly if you arent really good at it, try engineer if you only played assault. Man there is so much to do and master in this game. It seems brainrot playing a certain game made people play boring while the game is fine in that regard.
