I am mostly enjoying the game, I think on an actual gameplay and mechanics level, it's Battlefield through and through. So far, I have found myself wishing for more variety in the feeling of scale within the maps, some more wider and open maps would be nice for me personally, and I'd say that would be my biggest issue. But in terms of how it feels to play the game, and how the maps themselves are designed, despite my wish for more open spaces, I think it's mostly well done.

I don't see how it's COD on a gameplay level. It's objective based, team work and cohesion seems to be encouraged by the game design, and I've noticed a lot of people actually playing along with that. Classes are here and back to the way they used to be, the world and story seems quite grounded. If you think smaller maps means it's more like cod, sure, I guess, but that seems a bit reductive imo.

Objective based doesnt make it battlefield lol, the only teamwork there is is a medic reviving for XP.

And classes ye theyre back but are they tho? A medic with an LMG that cant give cover fire for 1 second because people are yelling for a revive.

Plus the vehicle movement is like COD, the play style is too, people run an rush towards each other, vehicles are being used to drive to an objective and not as a support vehicle lik the tank, oh an weapon loadouts, temu copy of warzone, etc etc etc.

We'll have to agree to disagree on most points here, because we'll just go back and forth based on our seemingly different experiences while playing the game, and watching how other people play. Yes and that’s the main issue. They map can be as good as nuketown but in the end it’s a small map. Battlefield was the definition of large scale battles now it feels like a mix of cod and battlefield and that’s clearly the direction they wanna aim for which imo is a let down. I've noticed there is an issue with the matchmaking system when joining a match with friends. When we matchmake together/move onto a new map, it will put us all in a region that is in Asia. This is based on all of the names being chinese character, players speaking other languages, and the ping being 180. We are all on the west coast of the US.
When I match alone, I have no issues finding and playing on west coast servers. My friends can join and its all good for that one match. As soon as it matches and goes to the next map, we are sent back to the Asian lobbies. We didnt experience this issue in the beta. I'm not sure if Starlink is causing weird routing issues or what. Anyone have any ideas or have experienced this?
