I work in software and on systems that secure most of what you and I use day to day, incl. critical infosec, etc. Saying the least critical services in large companies is usually 8 hours is just factually wrong - least critical services often have multiple days as SLAs. Uptime, too, is measured in percentages that allow (on average) up to a day a month in downtime, even.

Even if it's been 6.5hrs, that's (again) still a very good SLA for a very non-critical piece of software (as critical as it may seem to be for some).

I work in system administration and I can understand that they reacted well to find the problem, fix it and make it go to production quickly but still, before that, they could've avoid a lot of backlash and frustration if they released the game for multiple batch of players at different times on multiple platforms (not only steam, EA app, but also console) and issues would've been detected and solve before releasing it everyone.

Again, great work and I know it's not easy, especially with people screaming all over them, but they have resources, and EA is supposed to be making online releases since more than 20 years.

Can confirm, just tried it. I can play the game finally. Theres a folder Battlefield 6 Event, thats the beta. Delete it. Another Folder Battlefield 6. Delete it. Then do repair game.

worked for me to request refund on ea play and then buy and redownload it on steam, steam account needs to be linked to microsoft xbox account to get the beta unlocks.
