If it was a sporatic issue I'd understand it would take a lot of time to reproduce, but when its a platform wide issue I don't think they should be given much slack for that.
Any production time beyond an hour would require authorities to be involved where I work, so if we can do it, a company like EA surely can too.

even after you reproduce the issue, you have to figure out what is actually wrong (which could be more than one thing here - remember there's a variety of systems all working together), and then you have to patch it in a way with minimal side effects, and THEN test. all of that takes time and coordination
