main hope is that launch just feels more responsive than beta did. Was super common in beta to dump 8 rounds into a target, then feel a delay before he keeled over..... where it felt like when a target shot at you, all 8 shots registered in the same millisecond

if you follow the OLED care settings all these monitors have you will not experience burn in, on top of burn in not really being an issue more with the newer generation of panels. there is a guy who stress tests OLEDs by making the worst situations possible for them (max brightness, taskbar on screen and no care features used like pixel clean) and never turns them off, only the worst of the worst brands for 2nd gen are showing slight burn in after almost 2 years

yes, BUT..... it depends what generation of oled you get. There's only one brand with a 4th gen, 32inch OLED panel right now (LG). Every other 32inch panel for sale is a 3rd gen (which isn't as good vs burn in). Most of the 27inch models now are 4th gen though.

Why a 5090 though, a 5080 is more than enough for pretty much everything. BF6 ran at up to 200FPS on 1440p ultra settings for me on a 5080 OC. 5090 just isn't worth the premium, even the 5080 is already way too expensive

If you have 144fps on a 144hz screen, you might see frames that are sometimes 99% of a frame old. That is like a latency of 7ms, which enough to be noticeable when you are used to higher fps.

The difference isn't huge, but there is a difference, more frames is always better if your goal is to reduce latency. You can genuinely feel a difference in games like cs if you have 144fps vs 288fps on 144hz monitor.

my opinion (please dont hate me for this) is that it depends on your hardware, if you have a 5090, maybe you should upgrade, if you are running a 4060, maybe thats fine.

if your monitor size is 24 inches or above then yes, 1440p is a fairly big step up from 1080p, below 24 inches however, the difference is much less visible. Digital foundry and linus have both done videos and research on this.
If you are interested in 4k anything above 32 inches as below see significant diminishing returns in pixel density, clarity, and generally speaking the difference is incredibly minimal since 4k is designed for larger screens to improve pixel density which subsequently improves clarity, this principle is undermined on smaller screens.
