So remember the whole thing about battle receipts and how they calculate every single thing u destroyed from a clip u shared? Even tho the destruction may not have been captured in frame?

What if, this was their way in testing a new anticheat system, where based on sharing a clip of a cheater, someone, somewhere, somehow, manages to find records of the exact lobby u were in, pin point the offender and ban him?

Basically by sharing an MP4 clip or whatever, they can plug that in somewhere that lets them find the lobby u were in, watch the whole game like a replay system, spectating any player, having free cam, etc, then manually deciding if the offender in the shared clip deserves a ban or not

Hear me out,

There's no way in hell, a human being sat behind a screen and watched ALL the battle receipt submissions, and manually took notes of all the destruction that happened in a clip, let alone the destruction that was in the background and not captured in the clip.

Determining the exact match a player was in, even down to less than a minute of a suspected event, is something that has been achievable for decades via a report button. What you're suggesting is a much more costly and likely more error prone way of doing that.

Are they testing something? Yeah, most likely, some means of AI being able to process video I would imagine. If it's for anti-cheat, I'd reckon it would make more sense to replace human incident reporters with a fully automated tool for checking reports

Could also be they're trying to use AI to check bug reports and do something with that

Or maybe they want to use AI to find trends/similarities in popular videos shared online so they can be processed by their marketing department to produce content that better captures the attention of potential customers

Then they showed us a map of player movement thru buildings and what not? They were clearly tracking gameplay, recording it, and keeping it for later to study it and take notes.

Moreover, replays in games are actually raw data input that the game replicates, thus giving u a "replay", meaning every button u press, introduces data that that game stores, then the game replicates that data at a later time giving u a "replay". This is why death cams usually r never accurate, there's some delay.

Additionally, this isn't really new technology or AI, EA has done this way back in the day, for example, if u ever played command and conquer, a real time strategy game, u could save replays to watch later, those replays were never accurate, and always buggy because again, the game is trying to replicate real time raw input that u made at a certain point

Tracking player movement isn't a new thing, developers for various games have done this in the past to analyze how maps flow, find trends in player behavior and alter their maps accordingly.

However, I think maybe we're overlapping in thought a bit here. What if they're tracking player movement to generate replays that can then be reviewed by AI? Maybe this AI could review gameplay replays and cross reference other data DICE collects to be able to determine where players should and should not be, warning/banning players as necessary and reporting the data back to DICE to also identify potential exploits, like the ones that existed in the beta

The apache sucks so bad how dare you say that. In bf 3-4 I prob have over 1000 hours behind the sticks. In bf6 it is so bad its almost useless. You cant do flight maneuvers. Weapons suck at taking out tanks which is the whole point of an apache. And the single rocket to take you out? Even the little bird in every other entry took 2 stingers to drop it. On top of all of that they took my sweet HOTAS support from me. Now I have to spend an hour mapping my sticks software for shity feed back. Battfleild has always been about the vehicles and it doesnt seem like thats the direction we are going. Still pumped for the game but I hope they give us pilots back our toys 🤣
