I used to play Arma 3 with a lad who deployed to Northern Ireland during The Troubles, also got to play with a fair few Vietnam Veterans (Aussie and US), had a Zeus who was actually Vietnamese, played in WW2 missions against a Swiss Zeus who knew fluently French, German, Italian, and English, played with a handful of Falklands War veterans.
