Don't get me wrong, GPNVG are insane in complete darkness, but as soon as a light comes on, you're effectively blind and have ruined your natural night vision.

GPNVGs to my knowledge have no independent pivot like some mounting systems have for (example) AN/PVS-31, which make them much less suitable to medium-long range shooting while keeping some spatial awareness. This is why GPNVGs are usually never used outside of extremely sneaky people who do most of their fighting within 10-20 metres where they use IR pointers instead of the actual optic to acquire targets, also a reason for why you sometimes see image intensifiers mounted forward of an EOTech or Aimpoint. You don't get it - I agree with you. But battlefield 6 has marginalized the vehicles because casual players hate having high skill vehicle users dominate a server.

The vehicles in bf6 are designed to be ultra fragile, get a kill or two and get destroyed.

Basically BF6 vehicles are designed to be no different than spawning as infantry - just get a few kills and die and respawn
