-battlefield 4's overall sandbox is strong (for vehicle counters and vehicles themselves) it's just variable on some maps excluding some needed sandbox elements
-bad company 2 is 4 on crack people just forgot
-battlefield 2 has the strongest air vehicles in the franchise
-2042's maps are beyond open and have good enough terrain for most air vehicles (tanks die pretty horribly here but good aerial vehicles dominate even harsher than 4 I would argue).

I don't think a tank that has the:
least methods of counterplay due to the time period
and tons of maneuverability
and can literally go through buildings by driving through them like they're made of paper (no matter the building)

In the last 15 minutes I spent in spawn with a rando engi and we messed around repair torching the ground. I saw a jet on fire and managed to land a few hits with a carbine and it contributed to the kill when it crashed. Almost no military personnel use that terminology anymore. It was popularized due to JSOC funding in the 80s as an informal method of designating which groups got the most funding per unit. It's largely an informal, unofficial terminology these days.
