The LMG is not a precision weapon. Its an area weapon. The purpose of an LMG is to suppress the enemy and provide a price for running into the open. It's not helping bad shooters get kills. Any player not using burst discipline with a LMG is not going to be accurate anyway.

I probably have the fewest kills using support suppressing the enemy versus Engineer.

This whole talk of suppression is kind of interesting considering the US military recently switched from using LMG’s that spray lots of bullets to suppress combatants to using more accurate rifles.

DICE got rid of suppression in 2042 and I don’t think it’s coming back. Kind of like dual wielding in Halo.

Moving while shooting while moving isn't so much the problem. The military and Law Enforcement train to do that all the time. The issue is sprinting and shooting or running with no effect on breathing or ADS control. That is more of a mil Sim thing though. Arma and HLL are great at that.

There is CQB (Close Quarters Battle) where you are shooting while walking or jogging using your optic or point fire. There is also return fire drills where you return fire while moving to cover and concealment.

Just a couple examples

If you are talking about shooting in a dead sprint down a city block, then no.

No one is trying to run and shoot at a target 100yds away with the intention of killing the target. You are suppressing the target at the point and hoping to get lucky.

Yeah, something like that is completely insane. I’ve never been in any sort of a gunfight and probably never will be. It’s just that to me, walking in one direction while aiming a firearm in another direction. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Unless you are really, really, really practicing it all the time, the likelihood you will trip and fall just seems too high to me. and then assuming you didn’t pop your noggin or blow off your ankle or whatever, you’re probably done for if someone is shooting at you.

The military and tactical police teams will use a "duck walk" to help minimize optic bounce and sway while moving too. It's a smooth fast walk/light run.

Battlefield 3- had ADS stabilisation jumping, jump peeking, land sliding, chain jumping to an extent, good crouch usage
Battlefield 4- Airstrafing with AWSD and with your mouse, you could also do some cool momentum flicks with it, good strafing, good crouch usage, chain jumping (this isnt listing the movement glitches in the game such as rouzou, vouzou, mouzou, slithering)
Battlefield 1- This is the only anomaly in the entire series by nerfing movement so hard that even basic strafing was unusable, but it was also originally made with movement in mind
Battlefield 5- Sliding in 4 different directions, manual lean, jump shooting (first in the series to do that), ADS stabilisation jumping, jump peeking and you could combo some of these movements together even
Battlefield 2042- Jump shooting, sliding, bhopping after a momentum slide (literally just press space a few times after a slide nothing insane), jump peeking
Battlefield 6- Beta movement that you saw was much more like battlefield 5 but much more simplified, literally the best mix for everyone whilist making the movement already hard to use due to it just simply being a battlefield game and you not always being in 1v1 situations

Because literally every other fps games have it, and also you don't pop out of ADS to reload so it's faster for target acquisition

I might not have minded it as much if you could only do it at capture points, but since you could do it anywhere it just felt way too flexible. There was no need to do any thinking ahead because you could just switcharoo your attachments and get going.

Im quite literally top 50-60 kpm player in bf1 and top 0.6% kpm player in bf5 and my winrates are 60% on both, on top of community servers manipulating game balance via switching
