Its cause BF has always had its classes. You stirp it away you strip the visual identity of BF, it doesnt have quirky "Soldiers" especially since we only know one and that was the dude form BF4. People wanted the closed class system cause that is pretty integral to the whole BF experience. all the Operators did was give players additional mechanics we didnt need or couldve been relegated to different equipment
