The thing is that I don’t think its “that” hard to add scripted destructions. The part I think why they are not doing is is because of the simple “is it worth it” question. Most levolutions on BF4 looked cool but overall ruined the maps. Also not to mention modifying the engine so you can support these triggerable scripted destructions as you keep adding maps.

What I prefer is them just scaling the destruction model to a level where its basically non scripted miniature levolutions

4 Points of Feedback from watching gameplay footage for Battlefield Studios:

1. Repair Tool: To Stop endless repair of Tanks while midst combat, wouldn't it be better to have the repair tool reload after its used up instead of cooling down? This would also increase the necessary of ammo packs. It would prevent of a tank with 2 engineers behind him solo everything.

2. Static Vehicle Assets: Why do we still have static vehicle assets in a 2025 BF game? I get that they need to stay there for cover or so but in a completely dynamic BF game wouldn't it make more sense to have them as dynamic Assets and have them move around by explosions and heavy vehicles? It would add so much more dynamic to the battlefield and wouldn't destroy immersion if you get stuck on one with your vehicle. It cant be a performance issue nowadays

3. Do we see an improvement in Animations for the release? BFV was peak animations wise. BF2042 was a total downgrade. The Leaked footage was something between 2042 and BFV.

4. Will there be a build system or is the destruction too much so that such system wouldn't find a need? It was one of the best innovations in a BF game since forever. People either loved it or didn't care but never hated that feature. So i Don't get why it doesn't have a come back.

Frame gen is good when used correctly. Its intended use is in combination with an upscaler, so that when FG is combined, your latency is lower than at native render.

Latency with FG will always be higher, but for many, a smoother image presentation, thats lower latency that native render (thanks to use of upscaling) is appealing.

I have no real preference for named or unnamed soldiers. But I think nameless faceless soldiers are probably what most will like. That way you get to pretend they are you, not you playing as someone.
