Actually it makes perfect sense to me. You can use a signature weapon as other classes but you won't be as good. Like people were using sniper support strawman for so long, but how effective is that? Recon has faster ROF with snipers, has recon perks that highlights enemies when you shoot them, has perks that makes headshots unrevivable. Even in 2042 any recon is a better sniper than Falck or Irish. When you kill Falck they waste their time to go back to their nest. When you kill Rao or Blasco they just spawn on their spawn beacon.
