My point is no one here can say one way or another if campaigns are popular or not. My OPINION is considering how popular single player games are, I strongly believe they are widely played and I wouldn’t be surprised if 80% of the player base at least partially completes FPS campaigns.

Length not of the campaign itself but of mission/cutscene, when I have 35 min to play I never start a campaign mission because I know that maybe there are some cutscenes that make my session longer or shorter (maybe I want to fight for 20 mins and don’t want to watch a movie)… as I said it is just a guess, stats works in this way you take macro data put them together and tries to find all possible reasons

I wasn’t a lover about fragmentation of campaign of BF1 (war stories) however they weren’t bad but less than 20/25% of players completed them (usually when you win the campaign a higher difficulty you also get the achievement of easier difficulty)

Does make sense . At least in my opinion using for cover to push for revives and provide temporary visual cover/remove the spotted effect. From what I have seen the class grenades make sense as weapons are now open the other equipment is more vital to define classes and roles. That said I am a support main so potential bias there and it is the most versatile grenade type.

I see that the replenishment has been toned down i dont mind how it looks guess I will see at launch how it feels. Can the support class pick up its own supply bag ? If not thats fine I suppose the supply pouch is there for additional resupplying would be nice to know yet alot more to ask for UI or indication if someone is low on ammo or gadgets or both represented by single/double/triple bullet above their head so I know if they need a pouch or the bag. Being able to pick up the bag probably the simplest solution.

I agree. I also enjoyed helping tanks win those who shot first wins tank battles with the anti material rifles so satisfying to use them as well. I wont lie though I was not the best sniper but it was fun to switch things up.

Normally when companies are playtesting they'll also look at things like system specs and try to get a broad range of people across various hardware so if there are any glaring issues they'll become apparent, if you have very common hardware it can actually work against you sometimes 😄

I used to do testing sessions for Team17 (the worms devs) and their staff used to tell me they'll try and get people on all kinds of systems to test their stuff for that reason

I thought Battlefield 6 would be on par with Battlefield 3, we can wait...
Since 2011, we haven't had a good single-player game.

• BF4 was more of a tutorial mode, seeing the potential of what multiplayer would be like.
• BFH was a big surprise, but no sequel, which I find a shame.
• BF1 and BFV are really like Battlefront II, meaning they give you a single-player game because you asked for it, without the slightest effort.

I think that taking a few weeks or even months off to fine-tune it wouldn't be a bad idea, but it's still crazy to think that there are two weeks left and there's a problem with the single-player game.
Example: MWIII, a botched campaign, why don't we have single-player missions thanks to their season system? I think this idea of ​​creating new missions would be welcome, based on a new season of BF, if it's mediocre.

Yeah like i said to some people yesterday, all weapon have weak points and strengths. Not every weapon is meant to be used on mid/longrange nor close. I personnaly base my choice on the feeling i have with the weapon and try to tweak it to optimize my experience. Like the m417 which is killer when focused on hipfire

Are projectiles volumetric in battlefield 6 ? While I do not expect this from bf 6 hopefully in the future were bullet holes can be grouped together to dismantle walls giving the ability for controlled destruction. I do wonder what kind of performance hit this would sacrifice and how detailed structures would have to be for this to occur.

While I fully agree with destruction in that environment, setting up a strong defensive position should have its strengths and weaknesses. As long as the occupants get some sort of indication whether it be shakes and some dust or something to signal the main supports are being damaged to give some time to react. However if they stay put it should be punishing as well. Theres a proper balance in there somewere that I am sure will be figured out.

Perhaps I have longed for open weapons as in the past I have wanted to fulfill class roles but stayed away from them as I didnt enjoy their available weapon selection. I understand this may bring concerns the biggest seems to be the sniper rifle it has removed the recon feel as well as the loss of the respawn beacon too. Recon could use some more passives for rifles. I would like to see AMRs added that said I know I am not the only person that will play the game. Recons having the ability to ads with AMRs without mounting while other classes would have to mount or something definitive like that. Would add some variety and utility to the rifle selection though be it situational for other classes apart from recon. They would have slower ROF 17-25 as well as no ads bolt. Different ammunition types would be interesting causing gadgets to explode and burn nearby players or additional damage to light vehicles etc. Vehicles seem to have 1000 hp with different armor values with that in mind as a damage example 250-350 against infantry transports 400-500 to bikes, front 50- rear 75 to IFV, front 25 - rear 40 to tanks, 50 to helis/jets. Those values would provide effective damage to flanking infantry transports but anything with armor will require a considerable amount of time on target plus reloading however catch them off guard in a vulnerable state finishing them off. Distracting armor to make a window for AT to push up. Getting rid of deployable cover/emplacements/gadgets/light vehicles from distance etc. I am not asking for a one shot wonder weapon Curious to others thoughts on this.

I did use assult with sniper and carbine in the beta. I have to say those engagements 70meters to 150 meters it helped alot to dispatch enemies and push through defenses so that use case also exists as well.

No matter what happens or what is changed there will always be someone sitting in the back of the map sniping.

They're almost certainly basing their decisions based on behind the scenes data they collect, the vast majority of players will not be in this discord and if the majority of players were choosing to play open weapon mode, that will remain the default because it's just good business. I don't personally mind open weapons, I prefer it even, but I do feel that the class "signature weapon" bonuses should be stronger for their associated weapon class. As it is, I feel the majority of snipers are just going to run assault so they can continue to use spawn beacons and nothing will really change. I personally think being able to have 2 primaries is OP as hell, at the very least you shouldn't be able to take a sniper rifle in combo with a carbine imo.

Honestly I’d disagree. In the recon’s case, being up close ends up allowing the class to perform its role in new ways that can be far more beneficial. Especially with the new perk tree. Reeding out gadgets, using tugs and motion balls to preaim and eliminate those still on a point, with info that everyone has access to. If the recon only had the sniper then that’s a valid way to play recon removed.

Same goes for the other classes.

What needs to be tackled are the edge cases - sniper on support for instance

the issue with support and sniper in your eyes. is it the ammo replenishment or the health ? I am not sure how to tackle the ammo side but the health side. Damaging a support with a sniper rifle making it so they cant get health instantly from their own supply bag (3-5 second delay) would that sufice in that case or something similar ? for me it's neither, it's the range of where they will be fighting and the distance of it to the frontline. Whether the sniper sits at a corner of the map all day due to infinite ammo is less annoying than the fact that them being out there means those fighting up close can't get their heals or ammo.

After that it depends on the aim of the guy but if he cqn't shoot the sniper from that far/angle he should consider thinking on another strategy. It's legit that the sniper is powerfull on longrange. A sniping duel is about 1shot kills (+ you will not be able to be res by your friends if killed by a recon).
When you are a medic, you can resuply for sure. But if you're good enough to snipe (tbh it's mostly due to the bullet speed) you won't need it until late and can do let's say at least 20kill with 1 life.
Regarding the recovering. You can have 10 bags on you + active sringe (in the beta), you'll still die if the enemy uses full precision AR because you'll be 3 shot and killed instantly (my thoughts and experience to)

And if you just want to push in and push up the Frontline(which is the real K/D dominant role), play Assault.

I mean, to an extent that is me with Blasco in 2042, ie Recon. Blasco staying alive is the best way for them to be, as the infiltration beacon only lasts until respawn or destruction.

But it should be on the objective, like in that case. Or helping the Frontline so they can push into said objective.

If you literally mean parking in one spot sniping the whole game, then people will not look kindly on you. But nothing stops you from being one of them.

Play the game how you want, if you play vehicles you go down with the ship or the enemy will steal them which is very bad since you dont get it back to your own team untill it is destroyed or stolen by your team. Dont be afraid to change up the classes, if a heli is annoying you too much, swap to anti air engineer and you will be his annoyance instead

Yes and no, honestly people that play BF and care only about their k/d instead of taking objectives are just annoying, sometimes I have to switch team when you get in the sniper team that stay in the border of the map just to get 2/3 600m kills but doing nothing useful for your team, they enjoying playing that way? Obv anyone has to play to have fun but due to all Cod players that will fills the lobbies they should know that majority of people in BF try to win the match, not like cod where if you get 30/5 in a match but you lose you consider it a great match.

I dont understand how people think k/d means not playing the objective or getting caps. In order to PTFO you need to kill the enemies preventing you from PTFO’ing. You dont just magically win an objective. 30/5 contributed towards winning the match and isnt the cause they lost, however the 5/30 guy is part of the problem. The game revolves around killing your opponent in order to win.

I help you to understand. You kill 30 enemies, they get revived. You did not bleed single ticket from enemy team. Do you know that getting more flag decrease a lot more faster the ticket than your 30 kills (where people can also rev mates so less ticket taken from enemies) if a player has 5-30 but 150 assist for repairing a tank that is getting various flags it is more important than you, if he takes 15/20 flags while you get 0 flags because you kill enemies not on flag it is more important for the match than you and on BF you’ll see that he will prob stay above you on the match stats. Obv 5-30 is an extreme example, because if he don’t get any kill prob he is not so good at playing or it is a very bad game for him

Not at all, if you don’t play TDM it revolves around tickets, and killing people don’t remove as much ticket as taking objectives. If you play rush and you are on attack team staying away from obj and getting kills mean nothing because defense team has infinite spawn ticket… killing enemies and care only about a positive k/d is a different things, obv you have to kills enemies we are not playing pacifist mode but you need to play objective to win matches

There seems to be a hot topic for smokes being locked for support. While I understand its versatile uses, As a support I would much rather an assault to have a flash or recon a motion sensor to throw into the smoke. Remember not to be scared of using them as you hopefully have a supply bag that was thrown down before smoke. Engineer with an av grenade just makes sense not like it can only be used on vehicles. Trying to make classes more team orientated yes we all have those solo moments perhaps thats why they are trying to encourage more teamwork and to make use of the situations happening in front of the player. Not all situations should have the same solution either. Thats the reason you play assault if you would feel more effective with two main weapons in different situations. I think recon is less desirable since assault can be set up with close and long range in mind. Perhaps trying to bring the range closer to team mates to make use of the UAV but still a capable overwatch class. It does need something for loosing the spawn beacon. None the less I am curious to see if things will be more team focused moving forward this is going to be interesting. Cant wait to give everyone infinite ammo so they can spam gadgets and see how they all work together. Thats why I liked the green circle was very obvious I hope the new icon still works well to fulfill the incentive to use the equipment more.

Think they are trying to remove the weapon locked role and emphasize gadget and training roles. Training perks are earned encouraging people to contribute and work together as well. I like the active ability that is best earned back by using it. If you want to try a different role its fine use the weapon you like and try a different class give the equipment a go.

you have to get invited to the labs after you sign up.. you dont just get acess right away, plus theyre probably not doing any for a while anyways at this point so your chances of getting in are smol

I doubt that they let you upload the map as a model, if they did, then that would be both fun as hell and scary, personally I have a LOT of maps I would love to see in frostbite

the actual fortification system from bfv was amazing, since you could destroy a capture point of hard cover.. but then build it back up so youre not just standing in an open circle by the mid way point

as my information : Nope, no external hosting. Only "Host" in Portal itself. So all servers will be full - no one can start any server just because some ppl doing afk farming or something like that 😄

That would be correct. It's not hosted off your own machine though, DICE has their own server space you can use. Servers will stay up for 2 weeks with no activity before they need to be manually restarted.

I think this is a great idea, as it stands, firing range Is a bit simple, I was hoping for a button to make the targets strafe at least but having a BF4 training ground would be great for new players and to hone your skills with vehicles and weapons in BF6.

But hopefully will get to build our own in Portal or someone else will! So that's the beauty of that

So I have a very odd question. I got battlefield 2042 battle pass done, but I only had it through game pass ultimate. Bc it’s now 30$ a month I removed ultimate and went down to just gold. Do you guys think not owning the game will affect me from getting the rewards?

From what I can tell, completing the pass activates a flag on your EA account that tells bf6 “unlock these skins”. What I don’t know is if that flag gets checked after you complete the pass or the first time you launch bf6
