as far as I know, generally speaking, yes.
Playtests are a short 1 day, or few days, run of recent changes to gauge opinion and stability (did the change work, did it break anything, was it fun, was it better, etc) of the change.
It's not the same as Alpha/Beta testing, it is typically a much smaller scope change.

I am not sure how Labs does playtesting, since I am not in it yet, but you can think of it as like:
"Does this map play better with X vehicle or Y vehicle? We previously had X in the map so now we put Y in. Play for 36 hours and let us know."

But also just much easier to get feedback from, let's say 400 people, than it is 40,000 people.
Some of which might not even give proper feedback, since it's more open-ended and not exactly expected to give feedback xD

Based on the Beta weekend 2, in my experience:
The best is somewhere between the gunplay and fluidity of Infantry and Vehicles.
The worst part, the cheap answer is EA. But if we exclude that, I'd say the smaller maps + large team sizes made some maps feel way too crowded.

How do I get access to the private labs channels on Discord? I've been part of the last few tests and still don't know how to join them. I connected my Discord to my EA account the other day, but I've been in this Discord server for months already

the problem with BR isn't the mode, its the culture of the pro players, and streamers that come with it. It kills games because players want to model themselves after the pros/streamers and the devs over cater to these demographics - eventually other modes are subsumed by the shift in popularity.

DayZ was a survival zombie game that had mods that turned it into a BR, then the game fell off entirely due to dedicated titles like PUBG

Fortnite was a co-op survival base building game that got swallowed by the BR success.

Apex Legends was a splinter team of devs from the Titanfall 3 project that ended up being canceled because of the games success. An arena mode tried to bring variety back in, but streamers hated that shit and it fell off. Arguably, this title has cancelled every subsequent titanfall project as a result of its existence.

MW 2019 had a pretty grounded BR mode that has since risen to be the monstrosity that is beavis and butthead do Warzone.

It's not the mode, it's the culture and the overfitting of the development of the game as a result.

In the end devs seem pulled to listen to the streamers more for all shooters. It’s not just a BR issue there. They listen to the wrong people often across the board in shooter genre . Games still here despite that. And as a huge BF fan for a very long time and someone who likes BR because it’s not just mindless run n gun style , I know Dice has potential to make the best BR to date and it can come at a time when many BR fans are dying for something new and fresh

Moderators here seem to just ignore this issue. I'm in the same boat. Emaling [e-mail] is supposedly what we're supposed to do, but that email address hasn't responded to any of the emails i sent and i've been in every test before May, and the most recent ones, and never recieved any emails asking me to RSVP etc. so idk at this point. Spent 3 days fighting the "​​Secure Boot is not enabled​​" error when launching BF6. It's so difficult for a non-tech guy.
