I don't know if you played the mountain side map on both open and closed, but closed there were like 10 percent of the snipers compared to open. open was just 30 sniper glints on the hills

if you default to closed not open, the bias would probably go the other way

an ammo would work, like "oh has a higher muzzle velocity." That is what sweet spot is trying to mimic, rifles have a range to get up to optimum speed of the round and then a fall off, so it is only traveling at max velocity for x distance.

wtf are you on? BF has never had aggressive recoil, engagement range and laser beaming has always been managed through bloom/spread.

BF learning curve comes from managing all the chaos and knowing how to weave through 64p matches, not managing recoil.

It’s also only a few guns that are beamy and their TTK is generally on the lower end. Some attachments do need to be toned down imo

On the damage report it would never show a single one of my hits I was getting hit markers for either. On one hand, it’s a shotgun, it should one shot kill at close range, so it being a 2 shot kill at all ranges like some people suggest is out of the question in my opinion, especially with it’s ROF

On the other hand, the maps are small and clustered that it feels like you simply have no options to avoid shotguns

I feel like that’s why so many people are annoyed with them

My feedback on:

• Why Battlefield is a game for beginners and casual players, and why in just a few months many will abandon it — it’s just a wave of hype. Competitive and Ranked modes are already showing signs of being compromised. Why do I say this?

The aiming is currently too easy, which affects the skill gap in the long run. That’s why the TTK is high, and you need to land many shots to eliminate an enemy.

Broken recoil presets and super arcade-like hip fire:

When you stop firing, the crosshair tends to automatically re-center itself, meaning the weapon’s recoil doesn’t stay locked in the position where you stopped shooting.

This behavior is known as recoil reset or aim reset.

It happens when the crosshair returns to its original position after you stop firing, allowing the weapon to regain stability and preventing the recoil from staying locked where you stopped. This effect is common in several shooters, where the player can control recoil more efficiently by stopping the burst and “resetting” the aim.

Continuing with hip fire — in BF it’s also not very punishing; it automatically resets to the starting point, and it doesn’t climb much even when standing still without adjustments. The same goes for the punishment when you’re shot — the crosshair barely moves. For me, that feels far from “military” in a game.

Of course, this still depends on the gadget, since some change the vertical or horizontal recoil pattern.

In my view, BF6 will be a great game, but in the long run, without fixing these things, it will get boring for competitive play and tournaments.

And it will also sell far fewer tips and tricks 😅

Anyone have any idea how to fix Battlefield 6 giving me a blue screen of death every single time I launch it at this point?

I literally played the Beta from Thursday to Sunday at 10pm PST with no problems and now all of a sudden I’m crashing every time.

I wiped my whole PC, reinstalled Windows 11, reinstalled Nvidia drivers, flashed my BIOS, did the exploit protection exceptions, upddated/uninstalled/reinstalled the EA Anticheat using the website….

Like I don’t know what else I’m supposed to do. I looked on the EA Forums and support and nothing seems to work. Battlefield 6 is the only game that doesn’t want to run. Even Battlefield 2042 works and that’s another Battlefield game.

Unfortunately this is where C o D is doing better. 6 players maybe more but I haven’t played in a while. Not limited to cut that extra friend or so out of the game all because we can’t party together.

I get in older games and I’m sure in this one as well, once launched, you can probably just server browse and just join the same server but Battlefield’s party system has always struggled. You want longevity where we aren’t cutting out our friends on a MASSIVE 32 vs 32 MULTIPLAYER GAME, please just add bigger party systems. No I’m not asking you to create bigger squads just bigger party systems. I think 4 is perfect!

Here’s a thought, 8 players party’s, then when joining online matchmaking on Large game modes just split into 2 squads of 4 (also I know this is more work and coding, but maybe allow us to select how it divides prior to joining match) and if we are going into domination or king of the hill, who cares?! There’s no squad spawn in those game modes. In matchmaking it’s going to constantly keep splitting us even after we join each other because we aren’t in a party and it’s not the server search.

Also here another idea I wish existed. Especially since sometimes we have 5 players and end up splitting squads in one match. I’ve seen in other games where if a friend joins the match they’re a distinct color. (If on your team of course) can we please add another color for friends who join the match who aren’t in your squad, maybe like and indigo or yellow. Then of the above option is viable with 8 players the second squad which isn’t yours is that predetermined color?! This also helps feel like you’re still playing with friends and not knowing because they all just look like the random team players you don’t know.

BSOD is almost always a hardware crash. If you are Intel I would underclock your cpu by a couple hundred mhz, if that doesn't do it I would underclock your gpu by 200mhz and see if that helps. If that doesn't help then turn off XMP on your ram and see if that does it. Just do one at a time to see what is going on.

Wouldn’t be mad if this one doesn’t make it but Squad leader chat allowing them to talk to a commander or someone ruling the flow? If no commander at least allow Squad leaders to communicate some how, so information about the flow of the game is spread. But I think if the engineers had an anti-personnel mind it makes sense considering they can also put in vehicle mines. So they'd have to choose between personnel or vehicle

Yeah the medic's in a good spot. They got ammo. They've got healing. They've got a barrier. They've got a lot going for them so does the salt and then recon's got the drone and c4. The engineers really don't have anything so I think if the engineers had claymores and antipersonnel mines anti-tank mines as well as the rockets, they be sitting in a really good spot. Because currently the rockets explosion is no bigger than the assaults grenade launch juice

I don't even know what the debs will pay attention to this or not and that was just my thoughts coming from the test in the last battlefield I played was I think battlefield 4 just a little tiny bit. And before that it was the og battlefield. I don't play much first person shooters at battlefield's the only one that I'm willing to jump into. I'm typically an MMO player.

That’s not how TPM works

If your motherboard and or CPU does not support TPM 2.0, there is no module that can fix that

TPM headers are there for TPM modules usually tailor made for those exact motherboards if they’re there at all. Even if you can connect something like that, if your BIOS doesn’t support it, it’s not going to work

I’ll just say it here on the off chance it gets read. But the slide mechanic isn’t a bad mechanic, it just does more than it should. I shouldn’t be sliding further than the dive. have they disabled DLSS ? I opened the game to see if everything was ok with graphics and stuff and I realized I cant activate dlss it shows FSR and AMD frame generation but I'm on a RTX 4070 now I'm scared

I think they disabled it cuz It was very unstable

I dont like FSR tech, but seem more stable than DLSS in this beta

DLSS is still in the game for me. But the setting menu is confusing and the upscaler options are within a sub-menu that is easy to look over.

Gear Icon -> Graphics -> Visuals -> Advanced -> Upscaling Technique

Fr33thy's config does wonders for the game, issue is you need to recalibrate your FOV but it's whatever
