so they say about going back to roots (BF3,BF4), made class system back which is great but who da hell said we as community we need all weapons for all classes, literally you can support with ammo on the egde of the map just camping whole round without leaving thats awfull, LOCK WEAPONS to each class

I also like the open weapon system though the way it's worded in the blog post alludes to a BF4 style weapon system. It specifies you can use Carbines, DMRs and shotguns. Doesn't say ARs or LMGs

2042 will never feel like 3 or 4 to me because of the lack of immersion. So much of the game feels so empty and lifeless because of the lack of map objects and poor sound design

The gunplay is fucking sexy though. Like I get the game released in a bad way, it wasn't the vision or the theme. But it's truly gotten so much better now. In my honest opinion everyone is sleeping on it, it's so crisp and feels amazing to play. It's not even the clones. The sound design is just not on the level of the other games. The maps also feel really empty because there's almost never any furniture, destruction, or trash. They also use a ton of shipping containers because they fill a lot of space without using a lot of map objects

It was never really part of battlefield. A rocket could always counter a vehicle, which could counter a soldier, which could counter whatever.

Planting C4 on a flag base to counter an entire squad push.
Flanking entire objectives by yourself.

That just ultimately comes down to how the guns handle I understand advantages over other guns and players but that’s the thing, lmgs shouldn’t be running through a small house, assault rifles shouldn’t be storming small houses, engineers shouldn’t be in long distance battles if they’re using carbines or smgs. It all comes down to how dice balances things out from gunplay to vehicle play to the overall thought of the game, if they’re just trying to throw everything in one map to make it look pretty and eye candy without having real purpose then that’s just basically a Warzone lol this game needs to have a sense of purpose in that every decision from class selection to weapon selection and customization affects gameplay in an immersive way while forcing you to communicate and talk to your squad to effectively win a match, it doesn’t need to be a milsim for this to happen
