From a gameplay perspective tactical sprint really only makes sense when you have a stamina limit. It serves as a trade off for speed over duration. Battlefield doesn't have a stamina limit so everyone just defaults to tactical sprint because it's more efficient than the regular sprint.
Theres no point in having it in a battlefield game if it doesn't tie into some kind of intentional design. Which is clearly didn't in 2042

It reduces the need for teamwork really. It's a similar issue 2042 has.

Battlefield matches are built on team-based momentum. The momentum of a match is decided by the cohesion of a team. If one team is better with healing, ammo, and repairing, they're gonna win. But if you remove an aspect of that interplay cohesion, you get less of the battlefield momentum and more of just mindless death match

The problem with 5 classes is because of how the rock paper scissors in battlefield works, one of the classes is getting played less than others.
Battlefield 5 had a dedicated medic and support class and gave anti-armor to the assault class.
But they also added resupply stations so the support suffered from the least use because vehicles didn't need to seek out players to repair their tanks and players didn't need to seek out a support for an ammo box and that was under a 4 class system where of the 2 logistics classes, one got used less because it lacked the viability

They made is so intuitive in bfv, you could just use the spot button on a friendly nearby to throw a med pack directly to them (even if you carry med crate), same for ammo and there are clear visual indicators and rewards for doing that.

There are still players not doing their medic/support duties in bfv but among all BFs i've played that is the one with the most amount of passive teamplay (without using voice comms)

There is no class structure or commitment in 2042 even after the class re-introduction, most new players think of it as a perk (since they can play with any gun either way) not a role they have to play.

Non expiring battlepasses would be great. Could be done well if all content with the exception of a "Seasonal Completion Unlock" would be available when reaching level 100 in the pass for the current season. That could keep players returning to try to complete the pass and get that limited time reward, but also allow players starting in later seasons to get 99% of past passes content.
