I keep getting crashes opening the settings menu in game
I ended up disabling FG cause it had some weird UI artifacts. Good thing I can still hold above 60 easy without it I guess
game is fine if you cap at 60
you can try frame gen preset b if you havent already aswell

I turned it off because I dont get much performance since I am GPU limited.
When I have base framerate of 71 FPS when I activate 2X FG with Preset B my FPS becomes 111.
This is with a 4070
i go from 95 to 160 but im cpu limited
I go to 120ish or more depending on the scene. But my tv is 120hz so donāt need more anyways
But since itās hard to notice the difference and FG has small artifacts yeah. FG off and reflex too

I was looking at this exact car as well FWIW @solar shard and had the same feeling, along with the corvette. But itās probably going to be different for these modern LED style bright as fuck lights, vs Incandescents which fall off from the center bulb rapidly
So worth checking against both types (and other non car scenarios) before committing to any changes

honestly idk how it happened. I had the file saved, like I'd posted the build with the stuff I'd done. Copilot just seemingly did stuff based off of a file state from before (it was an old chat I resumed). But luckily the state restoration stuff in the chat history worked out, even though explicitly asking it to undo it had it tell me it couldn't lmao.

I like custom more as well, but I'm wondering, why is there a red push? I noticed it even in the sky when comparing vanilla+/Custom. Does the game need the red push to counteract some tinting?

custom looks more appealing, almost resembling 2.4 gamma to me, which I love, but I'm not sure how to feel about the slight red push.

I'm willing to try it. Just when I think about what LUT workflows can look like, the idea of gamma correcting after LUTs instead of at the end of the pipeline makes sense to me

Hes right about it using your ssd fully to (re)read the assets since thats a game engine bug, but reading doesnt degrade an ssd, the 3rd column was after a 5h afk credit farm, 13.4% write isnt ssd degrading though, another guy in there is however right about the gameinput service, theres a bug with it that can cause the service to endlessly loop from conflicting with bluetooth controller drivers causing cpu spikes, so go into services and disable gameinput and its redist, your controllers will still work dont worry (like my ds4 with ds4windows š ).
Also, if youre using that primocache you might corrupt your save if you lose power while its writing data, or in the worst case corrupt windows. Another thing in fh6, as with many games, standby memory gets hogged till its as good as full, causing stutters since theres like no free memory left, ISLC can clear that automatically (run it as admin!), if you combine primo with this memory hog, youre leaving like no free memory at all, its just asking for problems.

i had a rough start with the ai but once i had a few races finished after around 10 or so hours i started to see more skilled and clean drivatars with Forza and Horizon logos in my races which are way more enjoying. It only went up from there getting cleaner and cleaner but that is also my own driving style, i despite ramming and dirty driving. It seems the drivatars adapt after some time. I swear to god i also had 2 special ai's in the beginning that would constantly ram me and now i don't remember them anymore. Maybe placebo ? ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ

I've been missing getting rewarded for not touching walls
feels like the optimal strat in forza is just to ram other cars or bounce off walls
In online play it slows you down if you slam walls hard or try to wall ride but it doesnt exist against driveatars

in online i try not to hit others in turns or on the road, others can be dicks tho
against ai, going into tight turns it can slightly help get me infront if im rly aggressive into the turns even hitting cars

it finds a 3 race championship and its all 12 online players

it can be actually pretty fun, but if u get a dick who just blocks you when trying to overtake or hits you in turns, it can get annoying

you lock the rear tires when using handbrake, when in gear the tires are pretty much connected to the engine so if you lock the tires you lock the engine
assuming you are using manual w/ clutch you cant handrake without pressing clutch

It happens in many games, I've had issues for awhile with smoke being blocky. Depends on the game but it happens a lot.

@solar shard FYI, if the taillights in untonemapped by luminance aren't pink, but instead orange, then the color has been messed with. in other words, not accurate physical based rendering

a real camera would capture tailights as red/pink
I did by luminance highlight reduction before and that helped it
But the overall image looks better working per channel in LMS I feel
PsychoV is mostly per channel lms, but hue correction
but also eye adaptation input for dynamic contrast
without the hue correction it's just pow on lms over midgray + per-channel reinhard on lms
It's always there no matter what. It's hard to notice at high speeds

Hey guys, my Wife's having an issue during wheelspins. Only during wheelspins, the screen dims in brightness, does anyone else have this issue? Her monitor is Asus' XG27AQDMG, OoopyDoopy addon installed. My monitor has no issues during wheelspin though, same set up as my Wife's. My monitor's Gigabyte's mo27q28g
The wheel spin screen goes super bright, I assume the monitor's ABL (automatic brightness limiter) is kicking in as it can't handle it?
Is there any recommended presets to use? I got DLAA on as well but I have raytraced GI quality set to medium to avoid the noise
And I got shader quality at high because I didnāt really see a need for more

Triggers are the most obvious. There's a chance the haptics are just regular rumble but it feels fine. Overall, it's a much better experience than using my regular Xbox controller
the default vibration on the vader 5 pro feels amazing in this game

I ended up setting my UI to 75% on my 1440p monitor, it helps with UI scaling and doesn't make my monitor panic shutdown due to the brightness lol
i used to have mine on 200 in the ingame settings, but lately i kept it on 100 since i swap to 100 brightness when playing at night, 200 during day
You probably have to connect via USB to get working haptic feedback. It never works over bluetooth on pc

if it's while it scrolls and not the flash it might be from one of the older versions with bugged ui, make sure she has the latest version, if it's fixed by disabling ui motion blur that's the issue
there's a tonemapping slider in the newer versions between off/vanilla+/custom, if you don't have those you probably need to update, otherwise no others

Apparently the mod doesn't touch the haptics, only the triggers. So either steam input or whatever software you use to emulate an Xbox controller will handle the haptics/rumble
i changed to Manual w/Clutch and it feels pretty good, what i like a lot is that on cars with Race Transmission, since it becomes Sequental, you can completely ignore the clutch just like Manual, and on cars with Stock/Sport transmission, the shifting is faster than just Manual, pretty fun

RTGI is a no go no matter what for me, they'd have to patch it or add ray reconstruction for me to use it, or for DLSS 5 to come out... because I was comparing during the snow at daytime and I kid you not with RTGI the snow on the side of the road was FUCKING GONE. It was just this pure white NOISE
and with SSGI on Ultra the snow came back. I could see the textures lol
and there was even ambient occlusion with the textures! I was on 4K DLSS Ultra Quality Preset M as well.

if you just drag the download link from renodx into the RHI ui it'll auto download it and associate it with the correct game

so how RHI determines an update is available is it'll check the the current mods size of the file and the date/time it was last modified, if the size is different or the time it was last modified is newer then it'll flag it as an update
so when you install a mod it stores the exact file size and the time it was installed and if either differ, either different size or modified date is newer that's how it determines an update
on the downside sometimes when new nightlies get pushed it'll update the snapshot build time/date to be newer even though the content is the same and still flag it as an update
this isn't all bad though as this usually only happens when the back end of renodx has been updated so it could also contain additional fixes from the previous version

On a 5090 and 4k display, I use DLDSR 1.78, DLDSR smoothness at 50%, set in game res to 5K resolution, use Preset L/M in DLSS performance mode, no FG. You get about 100+ fps and the image is pristine. DLDSR is no joke.

DLDSR filtering is a joke what, especially 1.78. You cannot fit 1.78 pixels into 4 with a spatial flter without fucking everything up
I'd much much much prefer Optiscaler's output scaling set to 4x(2.0) and use a more agressive DLSS preset

i do have a custom undervolt curve but it really shouldnāt be that, given my 5080 will run every other game including cyberpunk indefinitely
it was graphics related, i dont remember the number anymore cause i havent had crashes since. my curve has been 100% stable in every other game than FH6, where it apparently wasnt.

I reinstalled the driver. FH6 recompiled shaders again for the second time. I ran the in-game benchmark mode. Still the same result. The graphics configuration that previously gave me 37 fps average now give me 40. This is according to the in-game benchmark mode. Trying to find confirmation from others whether this is intended or not.

well OLED monitors still struggle a bit with brightness, you would be getting like about the same brightness but pixel perfect contrast which is the real difference
