#

you should be doing whatever you can to get a rock solid 60fps without frame generation

#

any cutscene is going to stutter absolutely miserably for you otherwise

pine trail
#

Debating getting a 9070xt for 100 euros more

#

Worried about missing out on nvidia benefits tho

warm spade
#

Dlss adds so much value its insane

#

But 9070xt for only 100 euros more than 5060 ti the 5060 ti is hard to justify

pine trail
#

Could get 5070 for 50 euros less than 9070xt also

fluid glade
#

dude cutscenes are constantly crashing for me now

#

I had like 10 crashes in the past 2 hours

#

it's especially annoying as I'm basically in the beginning of the end of the game and there's a lot of cutscenes

#

once the game crashes you gotta watch all again or risk skipping it

#

never happened to me before latest update

short charm
#

Do you use Lyall fix ?

fluid glade
#

yea

#

though not for cutscenes

knotty bobcat
#

people like to shit on for NVIDIA for releasing broken drivers, and while its justified, at least they usually fix the issue very soon, within a day. But I had drivers with AMD that were so broken that I had to rollback to previous drivers for a whole ass month, every single PC boot because for some reason I couldnt disable auto-driver download, so that was annoying as hell

Mickey Mouse graphics cards

#

Not worth buying

#

But Nvidia’s pissing away their lead so maybe in a few years amd cards will be worth buying

knotty bobcat
#

I dont think amd can ever get ahead with their upscaling, would be very surprised if they did

#

also Path tracing performance is still shite with amd cards, ray tracing is slowly getting there

knotty bobcat

Alright thanks gonna try and wait for a 5070ti drop and hope that the 5070 doesn’t jump back up in the meantime

"performance improvements related to the fked way nobody but us seems to use or be impacted by PCIe bandwidth" = press X to doubt. nixxes and pcie limitations that nobody else has even encountered before are more iconic than PB&J. 0% chance they are ever improving that behaviour lmao

#

how are you finding the latency at q=3?

#

q=1's too unstable in DS2 but q=2 is aight-ish? havent tried 3

Wow, what a great patch! Not only have they massively slashed PCIe bandwidth usage — I've seen it drop from a peak of nearly 20 GB/s to just under 7 GB/s on my 4090 with PCIe 4.0 — but they've also fixed the noticeable perf drop issue during character movement. Great job, Nixxes!

#

a little QOL tip for when you're building ||and upgrading|| roads and monorails is not only does the "auto organise cargo" option on the radial menu combine your loose amounts of carried materials like the game tells you, but it works on full size XL containers as well, so you can withdraw x4 full sized containers, combine them into x2 and then carry double the amount in your truck

fluid glade
#

whaaat

#

I wish I knew that before I built all roads

it sure speeds things along not making so many return trips to the Magellan

pine trail
warm osprey
#

didn't have this since day1 release patch, but now I have it again after the latest one

#

and now the map visuals break at furthest zoom

#

seriously considering rolling back to the previous version, Nixxes fail to fix anything without making it worse in other areas

pine trail
#

anyone notice the sandstorns are bugging out with the new patch?

#

ive gotten the same bug 3 times since approaching the mechanic side of the map

waxen horizon
#

I gave up on roads, rails and even 4 stars, ridiculous grind, it's even worse than DS1 and I had more than enough of it long before I platinumed it 7 years ago.

#

Was grinding teeth up to east fort knot but having to work for another 100 hours overthrew my OCD.

#

Frigging Kojima made an almost the same game that had flaws to begin with, but made it worse. The story is good at least, despite a lame temu ||Cliff|| 1:1.

#

But I now think that perhaps Phantom Pain being absolute dogshit wasn't Konami fault.

stray hamlet
#

okay

knotty bobcat
#

I'd say it's the exact opposite, rebuilding roads and rails is even easier now with the Magellan

#

I didnt even bother rebuilding roads in 1 meanwhile its fun to just collect every material from shelters and just load it all up to the magellan

#

also use spoiler tag next time?

waxen horizon
#

Roads aren't that bad, but liading full truck of manually sorted XLs over and over is still getting old too fast.

#

My Magellan only holds like 3k metal and Ceramics.

#

Might be to the wilder thing.

knotty bobcat
#

you can hold infinite in private locker no?

#

or at least I hold a lot of it in there not sure whats the cap

waxen horizon
#

Yeah, but that is hardly saving trips.

#

Easier to just go straight from the mine.

knotty bobcat
#

I play TTW and 4 starring takes like 1 standard order and some lost cargos, 5 star is the one that I only got 1 so far because that seems more grindy

waxen horizon
waxen horizon
#

Standard and some lost give like 500 likes and at 4* I'm usually around 5k total.

knotty bobcat
knotty bobcat
waxen horizon
#

Yep.

knotty bobcat
#

Cause I noticed if I dont its almost as if its not even worth doing them

#

There's also a thing I think where if you hand in lost cargo just as you connect a new shelter to the network that it doesnt grant the likes for the lost cargo apparently, but not sure if thats true

stray hamlet
#

you get the likes you just cant ever get multiple stars in one go

knotty bobcat
#

I saw some post about it but cant find it

#

Ahh I see

stray hamlet
#

those likes carry over towards the next star making it easier to get

knotty bobcat
#

Makes sense why I had some easy star completions then

waxen horizon
#

Yeah, I leave 2-3 cargo to turn 1 by 1 in that case, but usually lucky to get at least 2* anyway.

#

What I've started doing is entrusting cargo though - think you get full likes after a while but don't have to do yet another trip for 20% of 4* progress or keep the things around. Will see how it goes after I check some recipients later.

stray hamlet
#

not 100% on how this works but you can sometimes just lose your cargo that way

#

i accidentally entrusted some stuff for a sub-order once and it got lost and eventually respawned

waxen horizon
#

Yeah, orders probably don't work, lost cargo definitely does.

#

So far my main issue with the game is the same i had with DS 1. Movement mechanics feels somehow cheap and janky, especially on uneven terrain. I mean main gameplay loop in the game is movement through the large area - why not improve that?

For some reason it goes away if I put ultra performance........... -_- performance hasnt been an issure for me, playing 4k

waxen horizon
#

I like walking myself, its not really that hard and meditative. Cairn on the other hand at times...

#

My only issue with the game, other than an overabundance of the same preppers bunkers with Kojima friends holos and warehouses inbetween, like it was in DS1 7 years ago, is the ridiculous grind for 4 stars.

#

DS1 bosses and enemies were trash, but this time it feels better, or maybe i just had a long break from 30 minutes of LMGing the giant boss in last city of DS1.

5090 4K what's the TLDR please? Max settings, DLSS quality, renodx, done?

#

Lock to 100ish

rotund salmon
#

you aren't locking to 100FPS with max RT, especially at DLSS Quality

smoky pasture
#

Ok good to know. How is preset M? Performance?

rotund salmon
#

I'm capped at 60FPS max settings including RT with DLSS Performance (preset L) at 5160x2160 and it's still really heavy at times, albeit stable

smoky pasture
#

Wow ok

rotund salmon
#

it's like PT tier performance maxed out, kind of silly for how little visual gains it gives

smoky pasture
#

Might consider dropping the RT settings then

rotund salmon
#

yeah, if you don't want to use frame gen and want a higher framerate, I would

smoky pasture
#

I could use FG but really hadn't expected to have to in this game

rotund salmon
#

it has a stutter in cutscenes if your base framerate is lower than 60FPS, something to keep in mind if you're on a 120Hz display

smoky pasture
#

Sounds like I might have to. Latency won't be an issue, slow game. As long as there aren't too many visual issues

rotund salmon
#

👍

smoky pasture
#

So maybe FG it is. Set and forget

stray hamlet
#

i've noticed the 4.5 presets acting strangely on anything except 50% scale

#

shimmering on terrain

rotund salmon
#

I saw someone post an example of shimmering with L in DS2 that I've seen for myself in other games, but not here, so I wonder if that's why (I'm using performance)

stray hamlet
#

one easy spot it's really bad in is at heartman's lab right in front of the delivery terminal

not the issue i was talking about

#

#

dissapears sometimes when swapping dlss mode or preset

#

#

it's only with DLAA I haven't noticed it

#

I might just use DRS @ 72fps for this game

smoky pasture
#

I've not tried that in any game yet, good point

#

Is it good?

thick edge
#

well if you were bothered by UI stuff it's reduced

smoky pasture
#

Hmm DS2 isn't an officially supported game yet. But I can still force via NVPI? Is that right?

spare socket
#

or your cutscenes will stutter like crazy

#

I couldn't run DLAA preset L or M above 60

#

big unluck

#

maybe with a 5090

smoky pasture
#

DRS might help there

#

I don't usually use it but seems good here

spare socket
#

how would DRS help

#

the game needs to render at native (or higher?) for the flicker to be gone

smoky pasture
#

I can hit native most the time, so no flicker

spare socket
#

ah fair

smoky pasture
#

But on those occasions I can't, it'll auto sort it out

spare socket
#

i'm basicaly under 60 at all times, so wouldn't really help in my case

smoky pasture
#

I'm usually hitting 70-80 with dlaa

#

Gotcha

spare socket
#

preset K?

smoky pasture
#

Yeah

#

With some RCAS

spare socket
#

#

smoky pasture

I did briefly try M but it shimmered bad

spare socket

smoky pasture
#

RCAS looks terrible?

spare socket
#

no preset K looks terrible

#

RCAS is goated

smoky pasture
#

Yes max settings

smoky pasture
spare socket
#

try L

#

M has some issues in this game

#

But reflections will flicker with RT

smoky pasture
#

I think M was bad because I dropped render down

spare socket
#

potentially

#

I don't think RT is worth it at all in this

#

RT AO looks terrible

smoky pasture
#

Maybe that's the answer....

spare socket
#

and Reflections costs too much for a minor improvement

smoky pasture
#

No RT, DLAA, preset M

spare socket
#

preset M has issues with motion blur if you use that

smoky pasture
#

Nope

spare socket
#

should be fine then

#

for reference as well

smoky pasture
#

Generally I find RT is only worth it when pushed really hard (e.g. path tracing)

#

When games just flirt with RT, its never worth it

spare socket
#

Depends, I think some look fine

#

I like Control RT

smoky pasture
#

Oooh.

spare socket
#

but even in that you need to run at native or the noise is awful

smoky pasture
#

Ah just realised ps5 pro doesn't use RT

#

I'm gonna turn it off. Decima engine obviously isn't built around it

spare socket
#

RT reflections look fine, but they don't work well with L/M

smoky pasture
#

But you still prefer L/M? For the handling of HDR and particles?

spare socket
#

yea, not even close

#

even if there was no performance hit

smoky pasture
#

Ok cool

#

I became an M concert with Cronos

#

Looks so good

#

I've never really tried L tbh

spare socket
#

M can be a bit unstable in motion tho, but should be good with DLAA

smoky pasture
#

Convert

spare socket
#

I think overall I prefer L over M

#

in most games

smoky pasture
#

If I can run DLAA at a good frame rate with L, I'll ditch RT

spare socket
#

are you on a 5090?

smoky pasture
#

Yes

spare socket
#

yea should be able to keep above 60 at all times

#

you can frame gen it to 120 and that's that

smoky pasture
#

My target is 72 min really

#

Should be fine

spare socket
#

that might be more difficult

smoky pasture
#

DRS if needed

spare socket
#

maybe i should try DRS

smoky pasture
#

FG looked bad tyoo me but I've not tried preset B

smoky pasture
spare socket
#

I didn't find the UI ghosting too outrageous tbh

smoky pasture
#

It was right at the start when the credits pop up

#

Completely ruined the scene

#

But that's perhaps the only bad bit!

spare socket
#

I didn't run FG at the start so I couldn't tell you

#

Turned it on like 2 sessions ago

#

and seems fine

smoky pasture
#

Never before has a game been more about presentation though

spare socket
#

that's so real

#

spare socket
#

Sam runs out of stamina MUCH faster and is in general harder to control

#

Does this make the game challenging or difficult? No, but it is better than before imo

stable jetty
#

Map in this game is so much better

waxen horizon
#

Aside from stamina to the wilder is still very easy, only remotely hard parts are ||Neil Vana fights||.
Bosses are much better, not like there's that many of them though, and i've played DS1 before Director's Cut, but i only remember two bosses doing nothing but taking a minute or two of bulletspray, and one stupid giant boss taking half an hour of it.

#

The first one ending was great, haven't finished this one yet, does feel like nothingburger with ||schizo for the sake BB pod mechanic, temu Cliff, and Elle Fanning thrown in, Higgs is awesome though.||

#

I have nothing good to say about sequel gameplay though, while I like the act of traveling - cameo shelters and grind for roads/stars are ridiculous, practically nothing changed from DS1.

winged bronze
#

The cameos get really grating. Oh look, heres another one of Kojimas friends. The actual characters lose all meaning when the only thing you can think of is " Heres that chinese actor from Marvel movies"

#

My favorite part were the snowy mountains however, felt all the gameplay elements came together there. But once you link everything theres ramps and generators everywhere so you dont have to think about travel anymore.

winged bronze
# spare socket Not even remotely true

So whats not remotely true? The stamina? its mostly the same from brutal difficulty. everything else I said is true, using trucks bypasses all the games mechanics regarding how to transport fragile cargo.

I don't know if this has been addressed, but I can't find any concrete info for any game about this...but what should in-game settings be when using RenoDX? Left at default and let RenoDX handle everything? Will in-game settings be overridden or will they "add" to whatever RenoDX is using?

Finally finished, yeah, the story is wacky by the end... The fact that i was completely exhausted by stars and roads by the middle and just wanted the game to end didnt help either.

||Tomorrow being Lou was obvious almost immediately, but the main cast doesn't even probe it even knowing that Lou is from cuckSam and so is Tomorrow. It takes Higgs spelling it out in the very end for them to realize it.

mossy tapir
#

ok this sounds dumb and I might be wrong but putting the game in ultra-performance with dlss L or M seems to fix alot of grahical problems (in 4k. not ray tracing ref/AO) but.. its ultra perf so shimmering n low res upscale. Optiscaler lets you change dlss presets on the fly and even cap at 30, 60, 120 and adding RCAS. I'm sure there are better ways to doing that though. only real big problem I have with this game is its waaaay to easy on hard mode and I play offline

waxen horizon
#

I had to play with PICO because Reshade together with DLSS breaks the game on Linux 🙁 Didn't really see any issues.

knotty bobcat
#

ngl I also thought its going to be easy online since PS servers are connected to PC, but I was wrong, I didnt see a lot of structures built and I had to build most roads by myself

knotty bobcat
#

if you're not too far in just restart, not sure how the game is on Brutal, but TTW has very fun combat

#

mossy tapir
#

I'm at the end haha. There's so much utility in this game to mess with, I love the combat . I shouldn't have played like this but I just pistol tranquilized everyone from a long distance

knotty bobcat
#

oh yeah same tho its so fun

#

id use the sniper but its so wacky, the default 0.10 or something deadzone makes it impossible for me to snipe

#

I'm not a fan of the new version of the purist preset. It does the same thing that I disliked about default/psycho previously where certain light sources - namely the battery state indicators on Sam's gear and blue lights on player structures - get blown out(?) to nearly full white and lose their colour in specific conditions

The maxch stuff from before was broken

The issue was on those red orange robots

#

The red lights on them

#

Would just be straight red

#

So in certain cases it could look more broken than vanilla

rotund salmon
#

yeah, I remember seeing that when I did some comparisons as well. I think given they're both trade-offs, I'm happier with the older build still just due to retaining player structure and Sam's gear light colours more consistently and with those being more commonplace than those enemy units

#

this is the main good stuff I'm thankful for Reno fixing anyway

@wet rivet I don't know if this is a problem with the game or the mod, but I noticed that when using framegen (FSR or DLSSFG), both SDR eotf emulation options create a sort of small double image effect or blur when moving the camera. #

I've played DS1 on hard difficulty, it wasn't exactly difficult, but when fighting mini bosses just on my own time, there were times when I almost died.

#

It was the third and last fight with Clifford Unger.

More or less the same apart from bosses. Tougher. You could be 1 shotted.

TTW yea, typo

shadow wave

unborn rover
#

shadow wave
#

The foliage doesnt seems to have shadows. Looked floaty

unborn rover
#

Didn't exactly pay much detail to that as I was finishing my playthrough on my handheld instead of PC.

#

Something about having an OLED display seemed to have me more hooked.

#

And the comfort of playing in bed

#

Just earlier finished playing around with settings on my handheld to see what performance I could get on DS2

#

Medium settings, XeSS on quality, 2x XeFG with medium settings and I think more realistic shadows turned off at 25W TDP got me a tad bit over 60 FPS.

#

Could probably crank it up to high settings if I just played on charger with 35W TDP.

#

But I fully expect for FPS to drop when I start playing and get off the mountain.

#

I also tried turning off Reno and looked at sun, never again.

knotty bobcat

unborn rover
knotty bobcat
#

even a small jump can damage it, unlike in ds1 where I drop down from ludens fan at least 20 meters and nothing happens

unborn rover

#

if I get eaten by a BT, I'm reloading my save.

knotty bobcat

cuz in DS1 fights were too easy and meaningless, now I feel like I can actually get knocked out and gotta be careful

small marsh
#

I'm only up to chapter 7 (TTW), but I can say that the enemy that fucked me up the most were ||the sword guys||. They jump you outta nowhere and 2-3 shot you like nothing

knotty bobcat
#

and boss fights are also stressful and very fun, whereas in DS1 even at hard, bosses were so bullet spongy and barely dealt any damage that it was not really fun, just annoying

unborn rover

small marsh
# unborn rover always 1

Must've been a difficulty thing, because I remember they always appeared 2-3 at a time in story battles, and the only times I ever saw just the one was open world stuff.
Maybe it's a difficulty thing? I played on Very Hard

unborn rover
#

doubt it

#

the scripted fights always spawned 1 BT boss

#

and as I mentioned, only 3 were scripted

#

originally when you actually meet Higgs before going to central district

#

he spawns one

#

second one was when Higgs appears for the second time when you get out with Mama, he spawns one again, but you can just run away to de-spawn it.

small marsh
unborn rover
#

And third time was the massive whale at the end right before you get to lake knot?

#

oh

#

you are correct

#

just checked

#

Higgs only spawns one, but soon after 2 more come out

#

maybe it also happens on hard, I didn't stay there for long and bolted the fuck out

#

but this is the only scripted fight that spawns more than 1

small marsh
#

well yeah, especially on very hard it never made any sense to fight any catcher at all unless you're in a scripted boss fight because they're health sponges to such insane degrees in DS1 it's not even funny

unborn rover
#

I sometimes just wanted to do it for fun on hard

#

and I fucked around and found out that more than 1 can spawn

#

but it spawned 2 instantly

#

killed 1, ran out of blood bags, the other one was low HP, but I was also at 300 HP

#

so I just decided to get the fuck out of there lmao

#

though they become less of sponges when you unlock higher level hematics and rocket launchers

#

going in with just hematics and rifles is stupid

#

rifles don't do jack shit

small marsh
#

but muh cargo

unborn rover
#

that's why I never fought them with cargo

#

I was always going after them when I made a delivery

#

also genuinely fuck carrying live humans through BT zones

unborn rover
#

if I ever replay DS1, I'm throwing the girlfriend of the guy who lives in the trashy place into the goddamn tar lake

ironically when I was carrying Mama, I managed to enter timefall areas multiple times and somehow avoided just about every heavy timefall area with BT zones.

#

Not like they give any starter weapons to take them down.

#

But there are mule camps on every corner.

unborn rover
#

The first scripted fight against a massive BT was not fun

#

Died quite a few times on TTW

#

Surely it only gets easier from here when I unlock more weapons

small marsh
# unborn rover The first scripted fight against a massive BT was not fun

Interesting.
While I did die to that first boss fight a few times, I came out of that experience thinking it was better balanced and more fun than anything in DS1. I thought so mostly because the boss was not as big a health sponge like DS1 bosses were (on Very Hard, which is what I compare TTW to), and also because it was the first time I ever actually NEEDED to use EX grenades to not instantly die after the boss stunlocks you and prepares its instakill animation - if you immediately equip and throw the EX grenade you might've picked up off the ground and throw it at its mouth, you actually get that split second you need to make it out alive. As soon as I recognized how that worked and how it let me survive the mistakes I made that caused me to get stunlocked to begin with... Whew. I had a blast.

unborn rover
unborn rover
#

I think my biggest challenge facing the boss was latency itself tbh

#

Gotta use XeFG x2 on my handheld to get it to run at acceptable 60 FPS in most places.

#

And I can feel the latency

#

Hence why I probably missed quite a few grenades till I got more used to it.

#

I should also probably adjust my sensitivity settings because turning around and stuff is too slow

#

I couldn't turn around fast enough if the BT emerged right behind me.

#

Other than that, the change I appreciate the most is that now changing weapons and such is less stressful

#

Since the menu stays on rather than you needing to hold it.

#

Can't count how many times I've panic equipped something I don't need in DS1

small marsh
# chrome heart anybody have gotten dynamic fg working in the game?

Yes. You have to manually copy and overwrite Nvidia Streamline 2.11 DLL files you can find on the internet. You need to do this for every patch the game gets, as they get overwritten with the older versions that the game comes with.

With said updated streamline DLL files, you'll find dynamic MFG working as intended.

chrome heart
#

or do I still have to set it up through nvpi?

small marsh
# chrome heart it will just show up as an option in the nvidia app then?

Originally I set it up via profile inspector, but later the nvidia app got updated with expanded dynamic MFG support for games which included Death Stranding 2. I opened it up and it just reflected the settings I already set in profile inspector.

Regardless, you still need to manually overwrite new Streamline dll files for it to even work at all.

I played probably 10 hours on 1.4 and don't think I ran into any issues

wet rivet

Like completely non functional in game

thorny badger
#

btw, I just beat the game and had a great time. I was using the purist preset, and there are a lot of cutscenes in the final stretch and it looked great with the mod. Visually, the main issue I noticed was banding, and I think the SDR EOTF emulation made it more noticeable in some darker cutscenes towards the the ending. Of course the benefit of avoiding gamma mismatch is much more significant

#

but I wonder why there's so much banding here, I remember it being the same on ps5. I guess its just a characteristic of the game

What is the consensus around the Dlss preset to use? I’m using a 5070ti and 9800x3d and I find that preset L at 4K quality gives me an fps of 50-55, and I have to go to balanced to get a solid 60. Whereas Dlaa preset K gives me above 60. What’s the way to go here?

warm spade
#

Personally I was using preset M for a while but just couldn’t stand the ambient occlusion noise and switched to pico

unborn rover
#

Anything higher than performance, and you're better off using M

shadow wave
#

I used Preset L on Quality. Gives me average of 110fps without fg

unreal fox
#

But the performance cost isn’t the same on every card

#

The 4090, 5080, and 5090 GPUs have significantly lower performance costs.

chrome heart
#

I slap L on a lot of games

rotund salmon
#

best is subjective, because L and M can fall apart pretty badly in certain scenes on games with RT due to how they interact with denoisers, but yeah, L is the heaviest model and that's where the ultra performance recommendation comes from

unborn rover
spare socket
#

New models are definitely the best if you’re using hdr

#

In the games with RT where they’re bad you can usually disable denoisers with U+

#

And in games like DS2 RT isn’t even worth enabling imo

unborn rover
spare socket
#

nah

#

preset K overaverages highlights and neuters them

#

looks terrible

You're welcome to disagree, but you're wrong.

Solve me this equation

#

You dislike preset K

#

Someone likes preset K

spare socket

sure man

#

enjoy your preference

unborn rover

Can't believe I have to explain what personal preference is, and how someone disliking something doesn't make it bad.

#

Grow up people

spare socket

I mean

#

its perfectly fine to like something that's just worse

spare socket
#

if you tell me K looks better in those screenshots

I don't care about you enough to look at your screenshots and justify your behaviour.

spare socket

LOL

#

ok

rotund salmon
#

surprised to see that difference between M/L in those comparisons

spare socket
#

It's fairly typical between those 2

#

M more detail

#

L more stable

#

🤷‍♂️

cold cargo
#

Actually digital foundry recommends Pico for this game Nerdgetually

rotund salmon
#

their comparison/testing was super limited, PICO looks kind of ass in plenty of scenes, especially at longer distances

#

it's all whichever trade-offs you're happiest with at the end of the day

I wonder if I can find videos online about DLSS 4.5 presets being better for HDR-
...Oh.

but apparently bro doesnt even play games HDR or something

normal sleet
#

M/L make highlights pop more but they are more expensive, more unstable in certain areas(especially when used with balanced and above) and have a slightly more aliased/sharpened look, K has less highlight pop but is more stable with cleaner image quality and is more performant

wet rivet
#

K fucked up highlights in hitman

#

Unusable

spare socket
#

it's also just soft, smeary and horrible on volumetrics 🤷‍♂️

wet rivet

Ya

normal sleet

I've even seen some games defaulting to J, like tlou part 2, K is omega ghosty on that game, again there isn't a silver bullet

Y'all are lucky to have options.

I'm stuck with either FSR 2 in most games or XeSS

At least you have both kidneys, we had so sell ours for the privilege of having those options

I did spend €1.2k on my handheld

So

Kind of similar boat?

The only flex I have here is 32gb of DDR5 with 8k speeds on that handheld

desolder those chips, sell them, and buy an ngreedia card, problem solved

I didnt spend a dime for any RTX GPU, they keep their value and every 2 years I switch to latest model. Didn't spend anything on 3080, 3090, 4090, 5090, currently at positive balance even. That's actually the secret of being rich, all stuff you buy is rare enough it grows in value so you become even more rich by paying extra in the beginning. Clothes, jewelry, cars, electronics, you name it. World economics are stupid. Its almost impossible to actually spend money when you have a lot.

UK had a bunch of stock drops in the latter half of last year, so it wasn't so bad

Not as bad as it sounds, you may use discord, telegram, twitter bots. They are all very easily available and easy to set up for push notifications on your phone. You just need a desk or home office job and have all logins for the shops available and prepared already in order to be quick enough as bots tend to buy all stock very quick. It doable and if it works you get 4k path tracing gaming which costs you almost nothing.

Bought my 4090 back in Oct 2022 for 1.9usd. Sold it for 1.6usd last year in feb 2025. Dont know if the price is right but the one who bought my 4090 was the shop I where I got my 5090.

Kind of a trade-im
