Cyberpunk does have a universal denoiser when not using RR. It's just that denoising is notoriously difficult to get right because the needs change wildly based on how you distribute rays. Each game basically needs custom tuned denoising. RR/other ML methods are really ideal for this because it's a one size fits all

In Starsand Island you can see the moon texture on the sun during day in reno HDR, it's there all the time it was just clamped with bloom in SDR. The one trick they don't want you to know about

PsychoV 14 is going to need plausible eye adaptation, not camera exposure nonsense. Your eye adaptation doesn't budge when flashed 1000 nits. It's a slow roll to adaptation after prolonged stimulus

I have a problem with the most recent game update. Displacement has been added now when using RR, which I do. It's SO grainy. I saw there was a toggle in here but it got removed. I'm hoping you guys can add that toggle again so I could turn it off.

Also for people who want to use multi frame Gen: use vrr (in my Case gsync), force vsync in Nvidia Control Panel, cap FPS 4fps below your refresh rate and set Motion Blur ingame to a low amount (at least) this masks most of the artifacts, keeps input lag low even at low base fps and it looks smooth af. Nvidia really should tell people this through a tooltip or Something because it's a massive game changer If you know how to do it right
Cameras need to adjust exposure because they need to be able to capture the data for their sensors. Nonsense for game data since light data is generated not captured. Auto Exposure here exists for the human to see, so a human function makes more sense

Gsync enables automatically once you are below your monitor hz in fps. Unless you have disabled it, because it stays at Default

I think 138fps. Reflex is forced while using dlss frame Gen i think

I use a different preset for night with lowered contrast and adjusted exposure if not enough. Also make sure to max out the slider that reduces dark nights specially

I also had to stop using Relimiter as it was causing the same black screen issue. The games pause menu would work, but as soon as you go back to the game the screen would just go black. I was pulling out my hair last night trying to figure out what the culprit was but it turned out just removing Relimiter solved it. @radiant sluice

mentioned earlier - i noticed while forcing different resolutions to fix dlaa hdr bug (it was gone at 120% res and no other res) that each time i changed res it would randomly choose a different preset based on the resolution i forced in the config file - im still running that custom res so it could be the culprit for me (not at DLAA though)

Once you turn on displacement mapping, they all lack contact shadowing because V_DepthGreaterEqual uses a reconstructs depth
Hmm, same as before. Even at the main menu, opening Settings just turns the screen black. If I don't open the settings and launch into the game, when you see Kliff sitting about to walk through the portal it turns black at that point. Game is still running like normal in the background.

Whatever the one was with PsychoV-14 in, I like the nights in it.
Unfortunate. I'm on C2 but others with C4 and 5 have been fine. HDMI Deep Color, 4:4:4 passthrough, Warm 48, 100% pixel brightness. HDR Calibration app run, reporting 800 peak to Windows (picked up by RenoDX) then just using the Recommended option in Reno should be good. Very colorful. (this was an image captured using a test build with Psycho14, had the adaptive contrast cranked)

Not sure how far you are in the game, but it's inside Arboria Castle whhich is where i found it to be easily noticable

Step 2: Go to library
Step 3: Uninstall game
Step 4: Try again in 6 months

Most monitors are HDR now. They might not be good at it. But it doesn't have to be good just to turn it on and test the bug.
