Yeah, if you swap BG3 back to SDR you basically get the same crushed details, though I've actually been leaving it on as the amount of times it actually removes detail as opposed to making it very hard to see isn't that frequent for me

Cyberpunk is a game where I don't do that and leave the SDR EOTF emulation off, but in BG3 I keep it on to look more like the SDR experience

They had a big problem with the idea of "biological essentialism". Some changes like shifting from race to species I think is actually kind of fair, because race implies subraces among a common species, whereas a githyanki is a fundamentally a different albeit humanoid species
