HDR mod for Atelier Ryza DX

Reworked mod for the DX version. Mod for the original still available but archived.
Now supports the entire DX trilogy!

Download:
https://clshortfuse.github.io/renodx/renodx-atelierryzadx.addon64

Notes:

  • Use borderless! (fullscreen can cause a blank white screen on startup, repeatedly alt tabbing can fix it though)
  • DX Saturation slider: tweaks the intensity of the color boost added in the DX version, turning this off makes the game match the original release

Update

  • new DX Saturation Brightness Limit toggle: stops DX Saturation from brightening the image
  • various fixes
sturdy pumice
#

so this one is probably a pain

#

I think claudia's action order for the luft is getting clamped

#

well I don't see it in the waveform so probably not

stoic steeple
#

It probably is

#

They apparently tonemap battle fx and things like smoke separately from the normal game scene now

#

And there are also like 30 shaders clamping scenes during some visual effects and during specific attacks

#

Just pushed an update that attempts to fix battle fx and also unclamps klaudia's action and extra order

#

Github auto builds soon

stoic steeple
#

And it's just those 30 shaders across the entire trilogy

#

I added them all now

stoic steeple
#

Update

  • support for Ryza 2 & 3 DX
  • unclamp battle & particle fx
sturdy pumice
#

yay

serene nacelle
#

is it normal for this setting to darken the image this much?

stoic steeple
#

that toggle should only make a very slight difference

serene nacelle
#

i found it odd because i normally use the contrasty preset and it worked fine on ryza 1

#

but ryza 2 happened this darkening

stoic steeple
serene nacelle
#

correct it looks normal with it off

#

should i reinstall reshade?

stoic steeple
#

btw I noticed I missed a UI shader for ryza2

#

use this build

#

you are playing on an ultrawide right

serene nacelle
#

ill try that build as soon as i hit an auto save point

stoic steeple
# serene nacelle yes

might be due to that. I don't think these games normally support ultrawide resolutions

serene nacelle
#

worked fine in ryza 1 dx

#

updated reshade and installed that new addon but seems to still occur i could try running at 16:9 but i remember it happening at 16:9 too

stoic steeple
#

can you send me your reshade.log

#

should be next to your game exe

serene nacelle
stoic steeple
#

thx

serene nacelle
#

np, youre the one i need to thank for helping me out

stoic steeple
#

np :)

#

hmm might be amd related

#

but I'm kinda surprised ryza 1 worked then

serene nacelle
#

yeah ryza 1 i played it all with the contrastry preset and worked fine

stoic steeple
#

you can try this build

#

just tried 3440x1440 and I don't have your darkening issue there either

serene nacelle
#

ill just restart my pc for sanity check lmfao

#

When i first installed the add on i put it in contrast preset and it seemed to look just like ryza 1 but then it got darkened out of nowhere and the only thing I did between that was go into settings and turn off DOF ( which I turned back on to see if it fixed but didnt)

stoic steeple
#

wait

#

dof off looks broken, yea

serene nacelle
stoic steeple
#

but with it turned back on, it's normal again

serene nacelle
#

Let me recheck the settings

#

Maybe its that

stoic steeple
#

and it also comes from that toggle, you're right

serene nacelle
#

Lmfao

#

The hdr load bearing setting

stoic steeple
#

found the issue
-# I think

#

the games use like 50 different tonemap shaders

#

so I made some regex to auto insert different functions

#

and something went wrong for the ryza 2 dof off one xD

serene nacelle
#

Ill try in a few minutes

serene nacelle
#

i can confirm that it works now

#

Thanks for the help
