Are the recommended settings just the default ones? That's what I get when I click on Musa's recommended, also in the unreal HDR option meant just for frame gen or should everyone use it for the best HDR?
i've tested both and i think the sdr path doesn't look as it should
i used fg so unreal but tested later and they deviated quite a bit
i'd say unreal hdr is the best
About the status with the mods: If I just install RenoDX for HDR and nothing else, do I need any battle fix addon?
(And if yes, could maybe the renodx mod be updated?)
There is a toggle for proper battle fix in Ultra+, don't use the add on.
Battle fix is only needed if you use the Unreal HDR path in Reno, I don't think there's any reason to do so unless you use frame gen?
Seems like you are right about FG. Not sure if there is other reasons for it. Didnāt know it only happens on that hdr upgrade path

for me ue hdr mode was matching sdr color grading

they are yellow with UE HDR path and SDR
so for you ue hdr mode was better, because it matched the sdr color grading

(couldāve also been the other way around, some people hate vanilla color grading in some games)
i tested quickly and i couldn't figure out why SDR path had shifted colors
Ty for answering! So the best path is probably use RenoDX and then use Ultra+ just for the battle fix lol
(or fall back to Special Kās retrofit HDR like I did for my first playthrough)

Iāve installed Ultra+ just for the BattleDelayFix now (I never used/use Ultra+) and it has several settings without a "game" setting so it probably modifies some stuff in E33 that I do not want modified

No, engine.ini path has to be hardcoded so it can't be added to generic mods
Can someone help me with installing this, I have the reshade with addons but it crashes the second i start the game with fatal error.
I had the washed out UI too, my monitor color settings in nvidia were only at 8bpc. i changed to 10bpc /full range and it fixed for me
i had same issue with 6.7.3, just went back to the prior version and it worked fine
that shouldn't make any difference? That only tells me your monitor/tv settings black level were mismatched. I use 8bpc ycbcr limited + 8bit temporal dithering with no issues

Yeah Iāve never had an issue with fg not activating
ok I think there might be a problem with my driver install, I'm getting really weird behavior in the nvidia app when trying to override FG model ("undefined", empty strings, "there was a problem applying setting", etc). setting it to a valid state fixed it
Unrelated but Iāve always preferred using NVIDIA profile inspector over the app to get around games being unsupported by the app
the other day when i enabled nvidia app beta features to activate the new fg models, on first load of e33 my fg wasnt applying (I hadnt actually activated the new models yet). I had to go into nvidia app program settings and turn on a multiplier there. after that it worked again, I turned the forced setting off and the in game toggle works fine now.
Apologies for my ignorance but is the Nexus Mods version still the latest and greatest RenoDX version for CO:E33? š

Hello I did a first run with RenoDX, under addons under active effect I can see RenoDX but there isn't the sliders menu with the options/present to choose. Usually in other game RenoDX open a dedicated menu for doing the setting
running it on steam so I stalled the reshade addon supp and the renodx inside the win64 folder
using DLAA
RenoDX has a separate tab on its own...not under addons

If youāre not using fg then it shouldnāt matter so you can just leave it at default
dunno how is possible but with unreal hdr ( without active frame generation ) I have better fps
hey guys, i got the mod to work on reshade6.7.2addon so far without any issues, just curious are the default settings appropiate for a QD-OLED?
i found some older posts on the nexus page, apparently there used to be way more options, maybe it's not needed anymore?

for what I have understand u must abjust the peak bright as the best fit with your monitor setting ( for example for me currently is 1020 nits u need to find your ). about profile or click on musa recommended setting there isn't a best you can scroll all of them and pick what is look better for u, just remember to find the correct peak brightness of your monitor

hey everyone! the only sliders that are working for me are the Peak Brightness and the UI Brightness which seems to control the overall game brightness too. Also , is it necessary to enable HDR on windows before launching any game? Because I noticed that the HDR on my monitor is automatically enabled every time I launch a renodx game. Any help is appreciated (:
Yes, it's best to enable HDR from Windows and calibrate the screen using Control Color or Windows Calibrate HDR.

Unreal Engine 5 doesn't have real-time sliders by default, create an Engine.ini file if it doesn't exist, and add this in:
r.LUT.UpdateEveryFrame=1```

I would like to ask one more question. I noticed that if I launch the game without previously enabling the HDR toggle on windows , my monitor still goes into HDR mode and the colors in-game are more vibrant. In the case I do enable the toggle beforehand , the colors are less saturated. Which case is more recommended? I think this only happens with renodx games that don't have native hdr support.
if you launch an HDR with windows HDR disabled it's not working right
you're forcing an hdr swapchain in sdr it's wrong
if you think the hdr lacks color just add saturation in renodx
youmusth ave windows hdr enabled for any HDR content

I usually just slap a cheeky +5 on the saturation in renodx
