cause the issue when it was identified was that they changed from sampling the lut texture
to literally sampling a black or white texture to make the screen fade to white/black

Yeah guess theres just the extra cost of checking if the lut texture is white or black every frame
I'll try to use a 3 sample version instead of 9 sample for the fade deteciton

In Phro case, saving her doesnt mean preventing her from death but rather making her give up on her dream because it's unachievable

but the "YET" is very important because we actually dont know
if she's dead set on that, or she's willing to give up on it
||TBH if Rover fails to save Aemeath this time around I would appreciate the story even more and would glaze it to oblivion||

Unfortunately there are limitations to what a gacha story can/will do by nature of the game's monetization.
They'll almost never kill off a character for that reason.
Or if they do, they'll come back as some Super Saiyan form later.
Honkai Impact 3rd did that very well with Himeko
and that was by far one of my most heartbreaking moment in a video game period
because you saw how a character's fate can influence not only a character but the game as a whole
but ofc it's one of the few games which did that in the gacha scene
And that is pretty much the only example of it ever happening unfortunately.
And for whatever reason companies appear to be afraid of repeating this sort of event.

I think that gacha companies see themselves as reliable steady income for the company and "risk" is the opposite of reliable.

I did the following
- Made it brighter
- Added more bloom solely to the sun
- Added a subtle corona effect
- Decreased size of the disk by 30%
After that adjusted the lens flare or whatever other effects there are applied on top
I really hate 2d lens textures applied to most suns, they rotate with the sun because theyre basic billboards and it looks dogshit

Map is empty, the map has a ton of weird broken down buildings that don't make sense and only serve their purpose for puzzles, the small city, or rather town at that point feels dead as is out of place, and is immersion breaking when you actually think about traveling around the town on foot, massive Jue statue for no reason, and no other buildings that can represent that its the original Jinzhou, and where Jue first appeared to guard the city? Or however the lore goes. Massive red tree in the middle of the map? Tree pretty, but why?

what i was saying was that in HDR SUN OFF the very edges of the sun have some nice contrast, when its toggled on it loses that slight detail and becomes pure yellow, removing that game detail

in HDR there is a mismatch
we're fixing that mismatch
what you're clinging to is the after effect of upgrading to the hdr pipeline without adjusting all the assets
but if you want the inferior experience that's your call 
or you could go the strat of some games not even having a sun disk at all because the sky / hue clipping clips it all away anyways so why bother adding in a sun
