HI3 is the best example of that. The story was really written like a shonen but with girls until characters started dying. And it's now considered one of the best story in gacha history. Of course, it did not perform well only because of meaningfull characters deaths but because it was written with a bitter sweet story in mind.

I get some people prefer happy endings, but this is just too predictable and not enjoyable for me

||Sure, because Phrolova’s case is actually interesting. The idea with her writing was to point out how flawed Rover was even tho he is supposed to be a litteral god. His « mistake » was the sole reason why Phrolova went for the antagonist route, and I was truly happy when Rover realized he couldn’t save her.

It helped us seeing him as a flawed entity rather than an omnipotent deity. So for me, the natural conclusion was that since he couldn’t save her, he had to prevent her from killing anymore innocent , which requires her death logically.

In that case, Phrolova would have died because she rather stay true to her dream rather than living without making it happen. Morally, this would have sent a strong message to Rover and the player : not everybody can be saved. Sometimes you must make some harsh choices just to save the majority.

But he did not kill her. She didn’t die. She was just hibernating in her sonara without any consequences or repercussions and just popped out of nowhere during the end of 2.7 what was the point of her confrontation with Rover ? Why not erasing her existence knowing it would cause more death of innocent people ? The reason is simple : Kuro wants to make her give up her dream later down the line and make Rover actually save her. ||

Also using the generalist "support set" (the gray icon) is not a great idea, because it doesn't stack, and most support will use it (sanhua, mortefi, ...) and it's best for them (except some specific support and most subdps that have a specific set for them, but using rejuvenating on verina/shorekeeper is still more flexible and great in all cases)

I'm actually quite sensitive, and easily bothered by bright lights despite very brown eyes. I think sensitivity is as much the eyes themselves as it is the wiring behind them.
