yes, my frames die. kidding aside, the differences are there - they're quite clear to see, but whether or not the performance hit is worth it remains the biggest question. in my view, if I had the bandwidth - I would play with this order of importance RTGI, RTR, and then RT Shadows. Not going to lie, I typically don't notice shadows unless they're bad. GI, I quite like because of the warmth of RT lighting. RTR - also nice, but YMMV as the reflections don't always feel realistic because of how crisp they are.
I just keep Ray tracing disabled entirely in my game because there's always an ugly black "blur shadow" following my character under bright lighting.

Hi everyone, when I using the latest version of the RenoHDR, the color saturation of the entire game screen instantly drops every time Shorekeeper performs the final segment of her normal attack, returning to normal after about one second. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

i feel like u could fix that blowout on the hair by seting the blowout slider to 0
strength 100 scene grading doesn't need that blowout slider tbh
it already has a ton of blowout of its own
and that slider doesn't affect skin so still works with what you're going for
the blowout slider is needed to fix the weird VFX posterization/color inverting artifacts unfortunately

ti actually depends a lot on the LUT too
there are high contrast locations where it's actually yellow
and there are low contrast locations where it looks normal
visual effects with your preset can look unnatural imo, very out of place, it kinda depends on the location too, mine have hue shifting and other issues and ofc colors are not actually 100% correct with any of the presets, but gamma correction 2.2 helps

I think you're getting hung up on some of SK's 2D art
which depicts it as white
when any 3D pre rendered stuff has all the character skin as pink
basically all film is per channel, which acesv2 is trying to change
it's why games are as broken as they are in HDR
because they copied film/video
except film has broken cameras as well, with LUTs to fix them, so it balances it out

it depends on the reason. pink because grading and pink because texture are two different things.
a lot of time art is done in normal midgray in photoshop/editing suite, then get borked because UE's tonemapper
do they go back and then re-edit the character models/textures because UE? or do they just say whatever and leave it?
UE will hue shift shadows and highlights when it does its lighting, but character models are usually done in neutral lighting
and in anime/gacha games the character models are excluded from almost all lighting/shadow calculations
then skin is not too pink though
yeah, 2D assets at times. sometimes the disconnect between the cardboard cutouts and in-engine can be pretty noticeable

UE4 has asset loading issues and retrofitting ray tracing is not kind on the CPU

Actually, I think it's also present in gamma 2.0. But since it's crushed toward black, it is less noticeable. You can see it at the edge of corner shadows. My guess is that something is probably broken in the way unreal handles very dark gradients by default. I'm pretty sure that's not the first UE game where I notice that... But it is admitedly quite disturbing.
Although If you do manage to get rid of it, all the better 😂... Maybe I spoke to soon ! But I'm pretty sure shadows being blue on edges has always been a pb though. Expecially in Jinzhou.

@drowsy wolf i found that there are some dream patrol combat challenge i haven’t done so i use that to recharge my ULT then quit the challenge and use ult to check for the shader XD unlimited ULT charging

@halcyon meteor is it possible that just a smoll part of a bigger shader clips? Cuz with augusta i found one that literaly turns from the looks of it more that 1 shader, like it makes the texture of the character and the background to be black XD and that portion that has that cliping is also not showing up
