||i think xor is an actual real world dave and bambi fan and through some expunged fuckery actually got sucked into the games code. the thing they said about their entire body changing when it “disappeared” made me think that the code was taking whatever images in the filed they could find to construct the closest possible thing to a human. they know about 3.0, they know they’re a replacement for recurser. ALSO. considering their representative color, i have a hunch they might be MTM’s self insert ||

|| Numerous things are implied about their character even in just the paragraph of dialogue that we get, which make them interesting to me

  • This is the first meta character we have gotten in a very, very long time
  • They have apparently never spoken to another person before; yet being a big fan of dave and bambi, this seems to imply they have merely been observing it for who knows how long. They're isolated
  • Removing the terminal changed their body in a painful way. They are linked somehow, but it's not clear how yet
  • They possibly have at least two forms, one from before the Terminal was removed and the current one they have now because of it disappearing
  • They are a very silly character to be paired with a previously very serious feature
  • Based on their ending sentences, they're going to be appearing again in volume 2, possibly with a bigger role
  • "xor" is short for "exclusive or" and is a type of logic gate where it only returns true if its two inputs are different (true & false). What this means for their character if anything is unclear but its an interesting thing to name a character after, like they're defined by conflict somehow. ||
