I can't enter the nether at all

Situation

My friend is in with me we are using essential to play. He is abit behind me I've just finished the flame quest whereas he just managed to finish to abyss quest. Is it a gamestage/progression difference issue?

All I can see is that there is a DIM-1 folder in the saves of my world

and when I go into the world and try the "/execute in " command to try force tp myself in there the option minecraft:the_nether/anything about the_nether doesn't exist whether I press tab or write it out completely

Just reinstalled the whole back and saved my world and map like you said and the same issue is happening
