From what I understoog you mean its gunturret damage (5) + Ammo Damage (15).

Ammo Damage is only 10 though.

no, it is turret damage + ammo damage on the final target

the end result isn't ammo bonus + turret bonus, it's (1 + ammo bonus) * (1 + turret bonus)

and since ammo and turret bonus are always identical unmodded, it can be simplified to (1 + bonus)²
