it got worse
How is the copper patch so tiny
I don't see any issues here. You just need to place more machines of all types and progress to blue science
its the tutorial but that part still took me an hour and 42 mins
im not good with logistics at all. The most i've done is dabbled in satisfactory and dysons sphere program
which from that i have gathered the. "Just build more of everything" kind of deal
its the organization of stuff i struggle with
if one things is way at one end how do i navigate it through everything else to get it to the other end?
Belts
Peoples here (myself included), don't want to just hand out the usual ways we organize stuff, because we think it kill the enjoyment of the game for new players.
Instead I prefer to give those few tips :
- Try to reach blue science, and unlock the construction bot + modular armor to build faster. This will be easier to remove / move part of the factory
- You've already organized machines crafting a specific item in a line, and that's usualy good. Try to keep one end of the line open to be able to add more machines when you need it.
- Don't be afraid to space thing apart, to have an easier time routing belts.
thanks you. Thats the tips i was looking for not necessarially telling what to do but guidance
should i play without biters for a first time to have time to learn or would that dimish gameplay too much?
Playing without them is completly valid, whatever feels more fun.
When creating the game, you can disable them outright, or tweak them throught different options :
- size / frequency, controlling the inital nests you will see when you explore
- peacfull so they don't attack unprovoqued
- expansion to tweak the rate at wich they spawn new clusters (expanding from an existing one)
- evolution to slow down the apparition of bigger units
i watch some videos and my speghetti is getting better. By seeing designs of others and trying them out to see how everything moves about i.e how splitters can be applied for stuff like belt distribution
Alt key for more information is amazing.
Try not to defend your base, defend your your pollution cloud.
Deserts are hardmode starts: sand absorbs less pollution than grass, and more importantly no living trees to absorb massive amounts of trees.
Boilers are the main reason the bugs hate your base so much. I would suggest alternate sources of energy sooner rather than later.
Landmines are amazing and overlooked by most.
I try to automate anything I need more than 10 of. If I care about the rate of production, then I worry about having proper ratios.
Ratios shouldn't be seen as absolute. Fudge them as needed, ideally for slight overproduction.
do not walk around your base holding a rocket launcher that has a nuke in it. especially when working on your nuclear reactor...
i wasn't planning on that lmao
also i wouldnt be using tons of chests to store plates and other stuff like that.
it just increases pollution cloud, if you need the plates or whatever just grab from the furnaces right there.
right now the pollution isn't too bad (as far as i can tell) and that is just a buffer for me to build a bus later. Yay to future proofing. If bugs become an issue then its full time to purge the xenos for the emperor of course
sorry 40k joke
still, 32 slots x 8 chests is a LOT of iron to just have sitting there not accomplishing a goal.
if its not in route to being used, then its just churning up smoke. so wouldnt recommend
i do have their slots restricted
they are just iron for the future proofing of having a bigger buffer and i had more iron than wood at the time.
each furnace already holds 100 iron per, and is a quick grab just dragging the mouse over em.
if you need more than that at any 1 point to hand build stuff, why didnt you just automate it to craft while you do other stuff.
generally just easier to let things craft for you than having to constantly hand craft and run around grabbing base resources
fair enough. Im still learning these styles of games and so often it takes me a bit to get automation to get going
how do i merge these without jamming the gear wheals for producing red science?
+faq sideload
is it sideloading and accomplishing your goal?
i mean yeah
then theres your answer
i just love that theres a bot for that
