#Scaling next steps

Hey guys I have a quick question on some strategy tips for SA. I've been to Vulcanus/Gleba/Fulgora already and have science packs automated at each so I've researched almost everything available (other than aquilo tech and chipping away at the infinite researches). What I'm having trouble with is scaling from here and making decisions on where to focus. Particularly the logistics of interplanety products. Nauvis feels ancient and slow compared to everywhere else and I want to modernize and scale here before I head to aquilo. How do you all best handle this phase?

Is it easiest to export Blue chips and LDS from Vulcanus to Gleba and then export Plastic and Rocket Fuel from Gleba to Vulcanus at the same time to keep rockets flowing? I just can't get iron/copper production scaled enough on gleba or plastic/oils on vulcanus to keep up with the demand. My goal is to get each planet up to exporting capacity to bring all the nice materials/products back to nauvis to finally re-scale production there but I just can't get the rockets flowing while maintaining production for the actual goods I want to ship out.

My objective is to scale Nauvis up to biolabs but I need to solidify my imports/exports first and then I want to head out to aquilo.

Any thoughts or tips you guys may have would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Do you have em plante and foundries on nauvis?

You could try dropping calcite from space to gleba, if you're struggling with smelting on planet
Iron/copper should be really easy to get on gleba

I am working on getting EM plants and foundries on nauvis, that's definitely my goal!

#

I did not even consider calcite from space! I have been trying to solve for calcite on nauvis by exporting from vulcanus but now that I look at it closer I can get calcite from asteroids!!

#

Do you send a ship between planets to gather asteroids to reprocess or do you find that you get enough passively just sitting above nauvis ?

Back and forth is significantly more but not always needsd

#

Granted mining from vulcanus is also a viable option

#

I do reccomend getting em plants and foundries

#

Iirc 500 12 beaconed prod modded electric furnaces are WORSE than 36 unmodded foundries

That definitely makes sense to upgrade to foundries. I think my biggest struggle is maintaining the consistent rocket launches to keep the imports/exports flowing. I'll focus on getting foundries and EM plants up and go from there

thanks for your help 🙂

Yea a nauvis base is made obsolete soo fast

it's shocking how sad and slow it feels there now haha. My blue belt furnace arrays that once seemed great are just such a slog now. and my chip production on nauvis is shocking compared to what I can pump out on vulcanus

I mean that's your issue

#

You went all the way to blue belts before leaving

#

Any base before you go to space in space age is a starter base
Blue belts built on nauvis are a scam
Just get to space get planetary buildings then come back

that makes so much sense.

should get plenty from transit

oh that's a good idea. Guess it's time to rework the freighter ship builds a little bit!
