#Power delivery

yeah, it's that i'm already moving lightoil for my flamethrower turrets and planning to also deliver replacement turrets via trrain too
Steam requirements are gonna be much higher than those though
You will not be adding steam to your oil train. You will be adding dedicated steam trains
i would be putting storage as a buffer while using a mod similar to LTN to deliver it thoughh
why do multiple power grids and just make sure you have enough on one instead?
why not just build a steam buffer somewhere else?
Simply build a dedicated nuclear powerplant that is basically just a fuckton of storage tanks and turbines to have a large steam buffer with high temporary power output
I do this in space age just so that my entire base does not brown out. It's just a better solution than constantly overproducing power supply
Technically you can't oversupply. Power producers are smart enough to throttle themselves to the current power draw.
Far easier to drag some large power poles and have a single network. This lets you optimise power generation either by scale or throughput.
Nuclear is also soo effecient there's no real reason to do small networks
Also, the power reserve of a single large network can be smaller due to the triangle inequality.
The amount of logistics and infrastructure needed to transport other things is soo high
I cant even understand using a power switch to segregate sections if shit hits the fan. Either way you're gonna need to fix things
nuclear reactors are a exception, throtteling them with circuits is easy af tho
Nuclear fuel is cheap af too, there isn't even a need to throttle them.
After kovarex you need .5 uranium drills per reactor
yeah thats the cherry on top. Nuclear is ridicolously OP there is absoloutely no reason to not just build a massive power plant and call it a day
And thats not even accounting for modules which would bring that number down even more
There is a reason not to... Fusion is just much simpler (requires SA).
