I misunderstood. I had the idea you used a mod to start on Vulcanus.
Either way, you could do poison strats.

I was in the same situation starting on vulcanus. First I used a blueprint to put down drills and chests using personal robots. When the demolisher coming close I take all my stuff and leave the place empty

Then, I use a nuke to kill my first demolisher importing some dark gray uranium to vulcanus ๐Ÿ˜…

I imported enough dark grey uranium to make 5 nukes and I didn't need more so far

i mean; like 70-100 turrets with piercing ammo will do the trick for, at least, up to medium demolishers

I also started like this, I think it's intentional. Lava, coal, sulfur and calcite is all you need to start with. To get my first tungsten i just did excavation missions, plomp a few miners, bring it all to a chest, lookout for the worm, and escape with your ores before it gets to you.

Even if you die, the items stay there so besides the broken buildings you didnt have the time to recover you should be absolutely fine and come out a little bit on top every time

or do some crazy turret strat, not sure why people push on them so much though. All you need is a tank and like 20 rounds of REGULAR tank ammo, that does it for a small guy easily

i did 10 turrets with uranium ammo, destroyed it in 3 seconds, lost 70% of ammo

Personally I went with an unholy amount of turrets and mines against small demolishers. Much later medium+ got the railgun to the face treatment.

I thought it was an "Any Planet Start" mod related thread, lol. I've rarely seen a part of the patch being in the starter area, with some lucky seeds. All you need with demolishers is pipes and poisson capsules. With pipes you can lure demolishers to buldoze the cliffs for free, and then you make him turn into a knot and throw capsules at the center, running and dodging around to keep him circling in the knot. 25-40 capsules and 1-200 pipes will ensure you have a cliff-free and worm-free area.

i just found out that my main base can survive 30 mins on batterys

i rely on nuclear power and forgot i disconnetced the uranium proccesing. base survived like 40h on built up uranium a35 and 238 until it fullly ran out

just how many accumulators did you have and how much is your usual draining? I feel like I have a few 1000s of them and my ~400MW base just eats through them in minutes when testing
