Having issues with the space platform | Factorio | Page 1

For some reason automatically supplying my rocket will only add parts of the items i need to construct certain buildings on the platform. and when i add things manually and i have all of the materials on the platform the hub still refuses to build the collectors i am trying to build. i am thoroughly confused so any help is appreciated! Thanks

Auto Rockets only send 1 item at a time, and only a full rocket load, so if the Rocket Capacity of something is 10 and you have 6, it won't send until you get to 10

Can you show the platform and requests?

i have enough mats in the hub now

but its still not building the 2 collectors there

strangely enough when i untick automation it fills my rockets automatically but if i tick it, it does nothing and i can't add any items either

You need to have the automation ticked on both silo and platform for auto

#

No idea about the ghosts if you have Collectors in the hub, I'd try remove them and place again

You need to actually craft the Asteroid Collector item

that does nothing

It automatically calls rockets for things you're trying to build and don't have on the hub yet

You need to have the building, not the mats to craft the building

Just automating everything you need up there and accept the loss is the usual method

You can do it manually to get rolling but if e.g. 8 asteroid collectors is noticeable waste, you need a bigger factory, you can drop the extras later if you want

Or do I misunderstand, theres a button to the right of the Rocket Silo menu for automatically filling requests, if you tick it and the one on the Platform then when you place a ghost on the Platform a full rocket of that item will be shipped

i am not currently building anything

yet the rocket still gets autofilled

so when i want to build something else it still fills the other mats i dont need

which means sometimes the mats i do actally need dont fit in anymore

also probably gonna fill up my hub inventory with unnecessary crap after a while

you can shift- click items in the hub inventory to drop them back down to the planet

The rocket definitely shouldn't autofill, can you show the silo and the platform hub

it doesn't autofill if i turn it off

but if i turn it on it automatically fills the rocket with all kinds of stuff even stuff i don't need

rockets will try to send a full rocketload of any item you request in space. if you need one assembler they send a full stack

#

and rockets can only send a mix of items if you manually load them and manually click launch
