Not sure how you could possibly read that forum thread and conclude that there’s no performance issues, but thank you for finding it

If you could get one with at least 16 GB of RAM it should perform pretty well, especially newer generation apple silicon. The 8 GB models will struggle with mega bases just due to how much memory factorio can end up using.
