I think like a little down arrow overlay for things with multiple recipes would be really nice
a visual indicator that there's "stuff" under there
as I noted in my bug report, this is probably the best direction just an unintuitive one for people who expect things to be under the recipe detail view
Yeah, I think it's confusing for existing users but better for new users. But idk, I don't want to cover up the recipe icon with anything, but I get what you're saying
as an aside, thanks for factoriolab, it's no joke the best recipe calculator
in game, out of game, it just works and that's great
I'll think about a way to make all those icons look more interactable
(there's stuff that factory planner does that you can't do for "not being in the game" reasons, but your solver is better so points)
Yeah you just can't really do the math inside the game engine
I think like a really little down arrow (like an inverse caret) in the corner would be a decent visual indicator without being too cluttered

especially because single recipes like plastic bars can be disabled there but you can also do a blanket disable under the item column

(my web design skills are approximately 20 years out of date so grain of salt time)
feels like you should be able to merge an indicator and the recipe on the fly
(assuming you can it would also be useful for things like the machine picker when doing modded runs)
I mean there is already an icon on hover, I just don't know if I want an icon there permanently

but making things too busy is definitely a turnoff
even on hover you have to actually click to see that there's stuff under there
