i dont think we need it
just the command is enough
it might be more important to make a space to tell people which command does what
IMO having something in the channel list that people can readily find will reduce time from mods and everyone answering the same 5 basic questions. Its readily visible and accessible to everyone, and doesn't require any manual action to help that person.
Whatever the staff want to do doesn't really affect me, I don't have any dogs in this fight. As a regular visitor on this server you can see every week the same few basic questions keep getting asked with increasing frequency, and will probably increase 10x in the weeks before/after launch. Aside from saving the time of needing to answer the question, it will reduce these questions (and the fairly large FAQ bot response) cluttering up the channel when people are discussing other things.
but yeah, thats pretty much it
There’s like three separate things though
When is it, how much is it, what’s in 2.0 vs space age, all get asked with regularity
More that I’m not remembering off the top of my head
I don't like putting a faq channel in the middle of the discussion category
bottom of info and welcome is probably fine, it's right at the top and not between anything
^ that'd be good with me
I wonder if anyone has made a study with title "Effectiveness of FAQ's, channel descriptions and pins for reducing the frequency of recurring questions on Discord"
