If you don't have enough room, just give yourself more room? Building space is functionally infinite.

Yeah I’m aware. But how do I effectively place my train tracks and smelting facilities so I don’t run out of space

It's not possible to run out of space. Route the belts as you need, place the arrays where the belts go.

Never mind then

What is troublesome about the belts from the trains to smelting?

I would've put the smelting array on the left, going to up and down, and put the train stations west/left of the smelting arrays and make the stations go up and down infinitely

My problem is I don't have space

#

So i have to rethink my design of where to place the smelters/train stations

#

Such that they can expand without any problems

Kont provided specific movement of your current layout, and I provided a more general one. What have you tried besides what is shown in the pics?

vernal knoll
#

Well @glad stumps idea would result in the same problem as my own picture

#

been looking around for a couple of hours now for a setup

torpid yoke
#

What is the issue with the general idea of just spreading out more?

vernal knoll
#

(green is train station, blue is smelters)
If i use this method, eventually i'd run out of space since the smelters can only expand left

#

Well i guess the only solution would be to place the train tracks veeeery far to the left

#

but eventually the same problem will happen where i run out space to place smelters

Yes, if you build yourself into a corner then you have built yourself into a corner. So give yourself enough space so that you are not building yourself into a corner soon, or plan to build in multiple places instead of this one corner. The world is your oyster. Nauvis has functionally infinite space. Don't allow yourself to be constrained by only the land you have conquered at this point.

Wdym built myself into a corner?

Why are you sending the dictionary of the phrase?

torpid yoke
#

I assumed you didn't know the meaning of the phrase since you didn't understand how the phrase applied to your situation
