#Mitru Belt Contraptions

sushi
3/5 rate limiter leaves enough space for a 2/5 rate limiter to fill all the gaps perfectly, and vice versa
which means if one resource runs out, it won't fill the belt and leave no room for the other resource(s)
how about circuit based limiter? top one is 3/5, bottom one is 2/5
working by disabling belt for 2/5 or 3/5 of the time
you come into my belt contraptions thread and peddle combinators?
also pretty sure you only need 3 combinators total
When using the rate limiters for sushi, you still need some protection to stop the belt from backing up right?
yeah I just send it back into the front with priority input
If it's a 3:2 compressed sushi belt you want, have a look at this (no combinators):
what happens when one runs out
Needs protection against it, but that's a simple wire
we don't talk about wires in this household
top belts read, bottom belt uses this condition
But if you have the items going back anyways, to protect against backing up, I don't see why leaving gaps is needed. The ratio of items on the belt will change anyways when the input belts are not all fully saturated.
Unpowered rate limiters are still cool though.
It's because this is for looped sushi belts. No protection against backing up would allow e.g. copper to fill the entire loop when there's no iron input. Once iron is back, all the copper on the belt needs to go somewhere.
I guess it would drain too slowly in some/most situations, depending on whether the loop-back is specific to that rate-limiter, or if it can go to other sinks as well.
It wouldn't drain at all if there's no Iron on the belt because it's taken up by Copper.
