Right now it's one double headed train, each item has one loading station where it loads and the rest are station where it unloads. So as you can guess items near the end of the line are always out of items.

As I mentioned yesterday, "Your best solution likely is to make more chips, have a more robust loading station, and more trains". But that likely requires building with more space in mind somewhere else.

so if you make 2 belts of greens, and you start with 4 belts of copper, 4 of iron, then your steady state flux after that point is actually 2 belts of greens, 2 belts of iron, and 1 belt of copper

I think when I said that before, I was accidentally looking at your unloading stations. But yes, if you want to move product fast and get your train out of the way, loading/unloading more quickly is better. And that normally means more stack inserters going from chest to wagon or vice versa.

You can do dedicated builds (without a bus) for some critical stuff(with dedicated unloading/resource belts), and you will have full control over resource flow

I just spent a whole month on a city-block base where each block is a single chunk each supplied by a single multi-resource train with extremely specific train schedules. So yes, I might. But depending on how your base is set up as a whole, trains may or may not be the best way for you to move green chips around, unless you were to consider an overhaul of your layout.

Just filter the chests for items you want and place a load or unload station in front of that chest.
