Yo Factorio fanss. I watched Nilaus his video with the application of the times:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLb8TJ6-Z2M&t=1718s
At around 28:30 he explains how it all works. If I connect the timer to a "test inserter" then it does exactly work in the same fashion. However, if I connect to my "real inserters" nearby, it does not work. Even though I have the same network circuit number and condition for the inserter (N=0) it still does not work.

Show screenshots of what you've got; if it was set up exactly the same it should function exactly the same.

If you're doing it for the UPS, I'd recommend a slightly different, more efficient, setup:

Demo of how to create fractional clocks to perfectly clock inserters.

There are extra complexities not covered in this video relating to clocking inserters for assembly machines, because assembly machines halt production without always producing a full stack. Furnaces are the easiest case though, and bring the most benefit from clocking.

Thanks for your help Ihmes, do you have a solution how to extend the thick? Maybe, let's say to give it 3 ticks time?

3 ticks won't be enough either. You need to do the math for how long the inserter takes to pick up a stack of items.
