Pipes to Springs

I was just thinking it would be interesting to have something that can turn pipes into springs as we now have rods into treaded rods.

So maybe like the pipe drops in from the top gets turned into the spring and uploads it from the side.

Not a bad idea however it wouldn’t make sense for the PIPES to do that, it would have to be that a machine coils it into a spring from a rod, so, in a way, instead of using pipes perhaps we use a machine that takes in like 3 rods of a specific type and it combines them and coils itself into a spring

Or perhaps a machine that like, molds the metal ores into a straight but skinnier rod than the rod extruder, and then in the same machine coils it

I understand it makes more sense to be made from a rod, I was just thinking the pipe is the same shape would be easyer to modify it to look like a spring and gives the pipe something to be turned into

That is a true statement, the model would make alot more sense to use a pipe to convert into a spring model 😄

I was just suggesting, in regards to the actual logic of converting the items, that a pipe not be used like that

Or you could cut it in a way that makes a springs

Engineered springs that follow a scientific design have to be rounded and coiled in a specific way

if you use pipes and cut it into the shape of a spring it would not actually function like a spring

have a new mold that casts long thin rod then have a new machine that turns it into spring ez

or ingot to rod to long thin rod to spring
