Hi, Can you send here log files and crash dmp file?
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\maisonbap\YAPYAP
This IS a path to logfiles and on bottom of log file is path to crash dmp file
going to the folder faces me with Player.log and Player-prev.log the bottom one being the prev one, did you need the text document or something within it?
alrighty ill send em
Okay ill check them shortly
Okay, i check it and the first log not showing any crash but i think i know whats the issue
Please go to the Nvidia control panel, and go to the Manage 3D settings. There are global settings and program settings on the top of the section
Go to the program settings, and find in choose option Yapyap.exe
After that when you click on it there are program settings which NVidia drivers set for the application. Please, turn there off below listed features:
- Low latency mode
2.DLSS - Backround application max frame
- DSR factors
5.Image scaling - Ambient occulsion
7.Antialising FXAA - Gamma correction
9.Antialising transparency
10 VSYNC - MFAA (multi frame sampled AA)
- Tripple buffering
- Texture filtering - Anisotropic samples
after you will turn all of this off (or set to application choose) try to play game if its fixed, if yes, you can try to turn them on one by one and when you figure out which option causing it, ill appriciate if you will let me know
Already alot of users experienced this issues like you describe, with models Nvidia 3XXX series + (you have 4XXX series too so i assume its same issue)
got them all off apart from DLSS, gamma correction, and MFAA which do not appear as settings for the program. ambient occlusion is there as well but not supported therefore is off by default.
Crashes still persist sadly
hmm, interesting, can you send me what options you have there ?
these ones are what popped up
try to turn off every possible option which you will be able to
cause its surelly GPU related, similiar things happening with AMD graphics with radeon software
we just need to find out, which feature making unity to fail
yeah i reckon it is an issue there as another unity game im playing is also mysteriously crashing
alrighty, ive tried just about everything, from changing nvidia settings, installing new graphics drivers, installing older graphics drivers, verifying game files via steam, trying to force dx11/12, making sure my microsoft c++ redistributable were all good, uninstalling and reinstalling, and installing on an ssd and an hdd to test both to no avail
The only meaningful gain from all the testing is the crash error number which is: 6000.0.58f2_92dee566b325
the most recent one from the temp folder
i need to sleep, ill take a look here when i wake up, hope we can figure this out
figure anything out?
it seems since installing yapyap it has rendered all of my unity based games inoperable even after uninstalling
It seem its not problém with yapyap, but the unity itself
@subtle warren ill leave probbably this one for you.
mmm odd, afaik there shouldn't be any shared config between games, since player prefs are stored per application
if you know how to work the registry (run regedit.exe) the key is like this HKCU\Software\Mason Bap\YapYap i assume (not on windows)
you should be able to delete the player prefs from there and see if it fixes it
this won't be why you're crashing in the first place btw
Ill check when i get off work thank you
if you will need help with anything i can manage it through remote desktop, just ping me if anything
Alrighty, seems by deleting my unity cache, and turning off hardwear accelerated gpu scheduling fixed the issue
There is a Unity cache?
Yes
