#There should be physical examinations

Hello, I first would like to mention that I am a 4th year med student undergoing clinical internships so I'd like to contribute a bit.

One key part of diagnosing diseases is physical examination and history taking. Some diseases have signs that give it away like McBurney's sign for acute appendicits. Maybe introduce some basic minigames to somewhat simulate the palpations and percussions we do irl? (Encountering enlarged organs, masses etc) I think it would also make the gameplay more varied too since I feel like the current gameplay gets a bit too repetitive after the first 3 patients.

Also I don't think we need to give everyone gowns. In my hospital's emergency we just treat people right away and don't give gowns at all.

#

Gowns are usually only given when a patient is gonna undergo surgery and even that happens after they actually get admitted to the hospital and be given a proper room.

#

Also you don't give blood transfusions to patients with anemia. In fact giving that much blood to a mild anemia case causes heart failure.

#

I think the term should be replaced with maybe severe blood loss instead. Because anemia can just be a case of the patient just not getting enough iron.

#

How anemia can be implemented, I think we could just have a patient who is tired and cold all the time and looking pale. We just prescribe some iron and send the patient home.

(I know I am ignoring it could be due to a GIS bleeding or tbh many many more reasons ranging from bad diet to genetic defects but then that would require testing the stool or colonoscopy or blood tests and that would be way too much stuff to add at once)

i second the gown part! as a nursing final year students we dont gown up every patient unless they go for surgery and also for mild anemia we usually administer venofer if its caused by iron deficiency.
adding more proteins like boiled chicken and red meat could be good as some patients require more protein for some conditions and we dont have anything for fiber so maybe add some fruits and veggies like some kinda bowl

Just telling the patient to get more meat in their diet and maybe prescribing ferrous or ferric iron is gonna be good enough. Also coffee... yeah not sure if I'd give it to a tired patient considering the risk of cardiac complications.

#

Maybe blood tests could be added too considering we use it to diagnose a lot of diseases but not sure how this can be implemented as something "fun" for everyone.

#

Idk maybe devs will figure something out.
